The Thrifty Six are Sparkling in Sequins and Such
The Thrifty Six are back for our third month of sharing our fabulous preloved fashions with you all. We are a group of six international fashion and lifestyle bloggers and influencers coming to you from all over the world. We span at least three different decades of life and we each have our own unique and individual style with a shared passion for preloved clothing and second hand shopping. Our goal is to share a variety of ways to be stylish while doing a little something good for the environment. With the fashion and textile industry being a major contributor to landfills and other environmental pollution, we decided to make…

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Jeans
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. This month’s theme is Jeans and all the fabulous…

Friday Favorites #8: Wearing and Watching & Link Up On the Edge #219
I just returned my from my biweekly counseling appointment and it became glaringly clear to me that I really have lost all joy in life’s experiences. Probably because all of the exciting experiences have been taken away during this strange and uncomfortable time. While I am not unfamiliar with feelings of ennui, the duration of this episode is quite troubling. I simply cannot snap out of it. The things that I would normally do to get back to myself are no longer available and I am struggling tremendously to find alternative things to occupy myself and get back to a place of joy. Please do not misunderstand me though, listlessness…

Inspired by Curated by Jennifer: Linen Dress and Flowerless Fields
We have just had a few weeks of unseasonably warm weather here in the North Country and so I took full advantage of the opportunity to recreate this cool outfit that Jennifer of Curated by Jennifer shared last month. In her post, Linen Dress and Flower Fields, she wore a gorgeous white linen sundress with a black moto jacket, black boots, and a black hat. I just love the stark contrast between black and white as well as the pairing of a feminine white dress with edgy black accessories. While I was styling my own version of Jennifer’s outfit, I realized that out of the hundreds of pairs of shoes…

The Boredom is Killing Me & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #196
I have completely lost my mojo in all things life recently. Seriously, I am the most unmotivated I have ever felt in my entire life. This pandemic has wreaked havoc on my mental health to the point that I literally cannot see past right now. Maybe that’s a good thing. It forces me to live in the moment, every single moment, because I can’t see past the now anymore. But the right now, in this very moment, all the moments are just the same…mundane and boring. That is not to say that I am unhappy. Not at all. I am an optimist by nature and can always find the good…

These Boots Were Made for Talking About | November Stylish Monday Link Up
It is no secret that I have a very public love affair with statement boots and shoes. In a perfect world, I would have my entire home lined with shelves that would house all the beautiful shoes in the world. For as long as I can remember, I have always viewed amazing footwear as works of art rather than practical protection for one’s feet. Of course, I appreciate good quality and comfort in my boots as well as unique bold styles. But sometimes, probably lots of times, I have no issues sacrificing comfort for style. And if I spot a pair of boots that seem to be screaming, “Look at…

The Sunday Morning Quarterback: Penn State Football & Tomahawk Shades
It seems that Jeff and I have completely run out of inspiration and motivation when it comes to The Sunday Afternoon Quarterback. And with Penn State performing rather poorly this season, Jeff certainly was not feeling compelled to share the heartbreak. Two weeks ago, Indiana beat Penn State 36-35 in a heartbreaking one point win for us Nittany Lion fans. Last week, Ohio State outscored our team with a disheartening 38-25 win. And last night, Maryland destroyed Penn State with a 35-19 win. Ugh. But this season is not quite like any other that we have seen probably ever in the history of college football. So you know, we should…

Inspired by Wonder Woman & Link Up On the Edge #218
“What one does when faced with the truth is more difficult than you’d think.” Diana Prince, Wonder Woman movie I wanted to share this post yesterday, but apparently I wasn’t inspired enough by Wonder Woman to get all the things on my list completed! I feel a bit more like Blunder Woman these days than Wonder Woman, but whatever…I just keep trucking along the best that I can. I was never one of those jubilant little girls who was obsessed with princesses and fairy tales. I was actually quite the opposite. I was a rather melancholic introverted child who was more interested in sports, reading books, or playing quietly by myself with…

Easing the Overwhelm with Smaller Lists & Link Up On the Edge #217
Recently, I have been feeling so stressed and anxious over the silliest things. Like leaving my house, going to the doctor, going to the store, making sure the kids are getting all of their virtual work done on time, and staying on top of my endless list of things to do. I have always been a list maker. I love lists. I live by lists. Lists keep me organized. I write down all the things that need to be done and slowly cross them off the list. If I don’t put something on the list, it likely won’t get done because my memory is shit lately, too. The problem with…
