Not a Beauty Blogger & Esqido Gel Eyeliner Review

I have never and will never claim that I am a skin care, makeup, or beauty blogger. Not ever. Yes, I have a basic skin care routine that I generally practice. Yes, I apply makeup daily. And yes, I see and praise the beauty in a million different things every single day. But skin care, makeup, and beauty as a topic for writing and photography are just not in my wheelhouse. Not a strength. Not a passion. Not a desire.

But every now and then, a brand will reach out to me to try a product in the genre of skin care or makeup. And every now and then, I think to myself, “Well, maybe I should just go outside of my comfort zone here and give it a try. What’s the worst that can happen?” So far, nothing terrible has happened when I have decided to take these outside chances. Well, except maybe my photography skills! They are pretty terrible. Especially when it comes to photographing inanimate objects like face cream or eyeliner. And then my attempts at getting a decent photograph of my face with the product applied, well now, that might just be a joke. But I tried. And at the end of the day, I do have to give myself credit for trying.

So for this post, you may just have to take my word for the quality and ease of application of Esqido gel eyeliner pencils. As far as eyeliner pencils go, I find this gel pencil easy to apply as it glides on smoothly. It is a pencil but slides across the eyelid with the ease of a gel. And it has the perfect amount of “smudgability” when I blend it with a blending brush.

The Esqido Gel Eyeliner Pencils were provided to me for purposes of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own,

I have been wearing both the black and the brown gel eyeliners almost daily for a few weeks now so I could write a proper review. It lasts all day without clumping in my crow’s feet. And you know how some eyeliners start to smudge with a dripping effect at the corners of your eyes by the day’s end? Well, the Esqido liners don’t do that. They are most definitely waterproof. I have had no issues at all with running or smearing when my allergies have gotten the best of my tear ducts.

The Esqido Gel Eyeliner Pencils are currently only available in black and brown. As a brand new product, they are currently being offered at a discounted price of $12.00. All in all, not a bad price for a durable, easy to apply, waterproof eyeliner.  You can find Esqido on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Do you have a staple eyeliner that you prefer over all others? Would you give a gel liner like this one a try?

Stop by tomorrow for the rest of my outfit from this photo shoot and this week’s Link Up On the Edge.
