#EmbraceEquity for International Women’s Day
Happy International Women’s Day 2023! This year’s campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity and its mission is “to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren’t enough.” I actually wasn’t going to write a post at all today, but then I read this article this morning about menstrual equity and I was inspired to write about that topic. When I realized that today is International Women’s Day and the campaign theme is about equity, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to climb on top of my period soapbox and have a little rant. Since this is Jodie’s inaugural post as a member of The Thrifty Six, she had the honor of choosing this month’s thrifty theme. All six of us reside in the northern hemisphere where we still have one-third of the winter season to go with 8 weeks behind us and 4 weeks until the spring equinox.
