This is the third year since my kids got involved in school sports and I’ve been on a mission to find my own personal school spirit style. I have talked a bunch in previous posts about how I’ve been slowly curating my wardrobe to include more purple pieces that suit my personal aesthetic. I’m not a big fan of fan gear. But only because fan gear usually comes in casual athletic styles that I just don’t like to wear. There seems to be a trend in the air as autumn is quickly approaching…Maxis. You get full coverage for fall temperatures while maintaining a bit of easy flowy summer flintiness for a little while longer. I recently featured Maxi Dresses for the August Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, Dusters (maxi length toppers) for the September edition, and Maxi Skirts are the upcoming theme for the October edition. Dusters are one of my favorite types of garments. Long and dramatic, feminine and bold, they perfectly suit my old lady hippie aesthetic. Nancy, on the other hand, hates the concept of dusters. I just realized that I have been highlighting my preloved wardrobe pieces in this Adventures in Thrifting series for almost 5 years!
