Harvest Witch & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #723
I am feeling all sorts of witchy energy swirling about as the fall equinox is quickly approaching. Last week, I shared a whimsically witchy outfit in bright summer hues perfect for the final days of summer. However, the arrival of the equinox does not guarantee that the temperatures will begin to drop. We are still experiencing intense summer heat and humidity so I will be sticking with my summer wardrobe until the weather dictates a change. Featuring rich shades of browns, rusts, and golds with a mixture of prints including mandalas and paisleys, this outfit reminds me more of a harvest witch than a whimsical one. Actually, it would have…

The Thrifty Six are Bronzed and Browned
Welcome to the September edition of The Thrifty Six! We are a group of international fashion lovers who meet once a month in our little space on the internet to share our thrifty outfits. On the third Monday of every month, we will all share an outfit based on a theme that features preloved wardrobe pieces. Shopping and reselling preloved clothing is so much better for the environment and you can find some of the best fashions in thrift or charity shops. The Thrifty Six are here not only to inspire you to shop second hand but to also get creative in your closets. It was my turn to choose a thrifty theme…

Whimsically Witchy & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #722
I have been feeling both whimsical and a little witchy lately which has led me to this magical outfit combination of wild prints and bold colors. I recently ordered this medallion print trapeze dress from an end of season clearance sale and I seriously can’t stop wearing it. It is comfortable like a nightgown but perfectly appropriate for most any occasion. The mornings are getting much cooler now as we are making the transition into fall so I definitely wanted a long sleeve kimono robe to top this wild dress. What better topper to choose than an equally wild one bursting with pattern and color. This kimono was purchased from…

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #721
Yesterday, my children returned to school but they didn’t want any first day of school photos shared publicly. So I guess I’ll share my first day of school outfit instead. This is what I wore yesterday to take the kids to school and then Jeff and I had a back to school breakfast date at our favorite diner. I got lots of compliments on this vibrant kimono robe from a large table of lovely folks! In honor of back to school, I wrote a silly little parody for Andy Williams’ 1963 Christmas hit, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. Because Back to School is way better than Christmas!…

Something in the Orange & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #720
I hope the title didn’t confuse you into thinking this was a Songful Style post featuring Zach Bryan’s Something in the Orange. I do really like that song although I find the lyrics a bit confusing. I guess that makes my confusing title appropriate, after all. I suppose a more relevant title would have been Something About Orange because there really is something special about this vibrant and energizing color. But there truly is something in the orange of my dress…it’s a bunch of beautiful white leopards! When you combine the meanings represented by the color of my dress and the symbolism of leopards, not only is this outfit eye-catching,…
