This rooster and hen painting sent me into a bit of styling mania! I was so inspired by the beauty of the colors, lines, and subject matter, that I created three different outfits for this round of dress up. Adventures in Thrifting Part 31: The Third and Final (For Now) Jumpsuit & Spread the Kindness Link Up On the Edge #819
The past two Fridays, I have shared newly thrifted jumpsuits so I wanted to finish the weekly series with the third and final (for now) preloved jumpsuit. The first was an oversized white jumpsuit with a groovy floral pattern and the second was a cropped length solid black jumpsuit. And now this one…which I’ve named the cow-giraffe print jumpsuit. I know I had referred to the groovy floral print one as “the best jumpsuit ever” but this cow-giraffe print may have inched into the lead for my favorite. July is gone as fast as it came and now it’s time for August’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! Won’t you join us for another edition of Good Buys and Good-Byes. For this month, we have decided to feature one of my favorite summer time garments…Maxi Dresses! According to the Wikipedia page on Dresses, the term maxi dress has been in use since the 1960s in reference to ankle length dresses that are usually informal. But a formal ankle length dress would also be considered a maxi except I think we generally call long formal dresses gowns. However, it appears that a gown can be anywhere from knee to ankle length.
