Happy Birthday, Pepsi Man! & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #267
Yesterday was Ralph’s birthday so for the next 5 1/2 weeks I am the mother of 9 and 10 year old boys. We celebrated on Saturday with a small party that did not go at as planned but resulted in Ralph getting three separate birthday parties. All Ralph wanted to do for his party was play virtual reality with his friends and family so we booked a party at Zero Latency Virtual Reality in our local mall. You can have 8 players per game and it is kind of pricey ranging from $30-50 for 30 minutes of playtime per person). Our 8 players were to be 4 adults and 4…

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. The theme for March is Periwinkle and Purple. *If…

So Far Behind & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #265
I am so far behind that I can’t seem to catch up on things. I have lots of photos and other things that I want to share here including details of my road trip to North Carolina. And I will get around to it soon, I swear! But for now I wanted to make sure you had a link party to join. So for today, this is all I’ve got…another woman’s behind clad in a thong (that was just to get your attention) and a link party! Enjoy and have a fabulous day! Outfit Remix for Road Tripping & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #263
Two weeks ago, I shared this cheerful pink sweater in my road tripping post…the road trip which I embark on today! By the time you are reading this, I will likely already be on the road en route from northern New York to the mountains of western North Carolina. A round trip of over 1,800 miles that I will traverse today and tomorrow, arriving at my destination in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, some time tomorrow evening. In that previous post, I had mentioned that this cozy turtleneck sweater would be making the trip with me. In fact, I am wearing the same road trip outfit that I said I would except…

Three ’70s Trends Made Modern & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #261
I have jumped on the ’70s trend wagon feet first with three different vintage fashions made modern by combining them into one cool contemporary look that is suitable for 2022. Actually, I hadn’t initially realized that I had combined three different fashion trends from the 1970s. I really just wanted to share this gorgeous plaid poncho that my mother-in-law gifted to me at Christmas. I suppose ponchos are so classically timeless at this point that it is easy forget the history of this ancient garment that went from a practical necessity to a statement-making fashion trend that has remained in style for over 50 years. Trend #1: The Poncho The…

Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Winter Layers & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #260
Coming out of the holiday season, Nancy and I decided to share New Things for the New Year, but now that winter in the northern hemisphere has put many of us in a deep freeze, Winter Layers seemed to be an appropriate theme. So for this month’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, we are looking for your favorite layered up cold weather outfits. Or maybe you have a layered winter outfit that was a total fail but worth sharing anyway. This is all for fun anyway! What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book? It is a monthly series that Nancy and I both publish on our blogs on the 15th of each month. Anyone who…

My Happie Hippie Hallway & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #258
My Happie Hippie Hallway makes me smile so bright every time I walk through the second story of my home. Ever since I finished painting the hallway in the fall, I have been on the lookout for bohemian style decor to bring more character to the space. I knew I wanted dreamcatchers to be part of the decor. The hallway space extends from our bedroom to the boys’ bedrooms, making it the perfect spot for catching all the dreams from all the bedrooms. I was not in a hurry to decorate this space though. Two weeks ago, I was still in the brainstorming phase when I was in TJ Maxx…

Sustainable Shaving: Leaf Shave Razor Review & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #257
The older I get, the more aware I become of all of the unnecessary waste that we make as humans. It is so excessive sometimes that it makes my soul ache. So I am always looking for ways to minimize my own negative impact on the environment. We have truly become a throw away society. We buy and toss things so quickly, it shouldn’t be any wonder that our planet is so very unwell. We have thrived on the conveniences of disposable everything…disposable diapers, disposable utensils, disposable plates and cups, disposable razors, disposable clothing. Disposable is easy. We can buy something, use it until we are done, then toss in…
