Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!

This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

The theme for August is Beachwear or Resort Wear. We asked you to share anything you would wear to the beach or to a summer resort vacation including your favorite (or least favorite) beach bags, sun hats, or other summer accessories. We have no rules here really, we just want you to play along!

*If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo on either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions can get lost in the shuffle.

“This is beachwear for me! Although I have to say that this photo is about 10 years old. No white stripes on the belly, lol. On my blog you can see that I do like bikinis with shells! That other one on my blog is a photo from a few weeks ago. And now I do have white stripes, haha.”

“My favorite choice for a swimwear cover-up is a pareo/sarong. I’ve had this black and white one for many, many years so it was definitely a Good Buy. And since I’m not one to shy away from a bit of pattern mixing, I paired it up with my leopard print swimsuit another Good Buy.”

“This is a dress that I brought to Cancun and I loved it so much that I bought it in another color!! (on sale @ Macy’s) It’s a lighter-weight (but not flimsy) cotton knit (like a heavier t-shirt weight). In theory, it was a petite, but I had it shortened 6 inches.”

“Usually when I think of summer resorts I do picture beaches, palm trees, and lots of time poolside. But then I realized that we’re heading to the Walt Disney World Resort this summer and I could show a few photos of outfits I plan on packing for our trip! My mom bought these new capri pants for my birthday last month and I love the bright coral color plus they are nice and lightweight and so comfy that they’ll be perfect for a day at the resort or a day at the parks.  They were on clearance too and such a good buy! I paired it with my first (and only) graphic tank that says “a dream is a wish your heart makes.”
