The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Suede
I can’t believe that Nancy and I started this little series of ours 8 years ago! You can check out our very first post from February 18, 2018, for a good chuckle. It’s getting more and more difficult to choose unique themes for this series because it seems like we have covered them all. So if you have any theme ideas or something you would like to see us share, please let us know in the comments.
And now for February’s Suede edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. Much thanks to all who have joined us. You keep it fun and interesting!
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.
Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.
If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

Up Next for March: Cropped Sweaters

We will be featuring Cropped Sweaters for the March’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. I would say a cropped sweater is one that is too short to cover your buttocks and generally ends before your waistline. But you can certainly be flexible with the definition and share just a short sweater.
If you would like to join us for this round, all you have to do is take a photo or two and email them to us with a brief description about why it’s a Good Buy or a Good-Bye. You are welcome to submit two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs. Please email your photos and descriptions by the 10th of March to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can add you to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book.
*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.
Keeping it on the edge,
Shelbee

8 years already! It’s that including our previous series? What fun! I hope or readers come up with suggestions.

8 years was just for this series. We did the Bad Buy Book for a year before that from February 2017 until we started this one in February 2018. So much fun!

I can see why you might be running out of ideas…next winter, you could do some variation of coats.
For this summer, linen is on my radar.
I have no idea if you’ve done these before…it’s hard enough to keep track of my own stuff, LOL

Jodie, thanks so much! Those are both great ideas. I am definitely going to add linen to our summer list. We did coats and outerwear in January 2019, denim jackets in April 2020, and winter coats in March 2025, but we can definitely get more specific for future themes…like trench coats, fur coats, wool coats, pea coats, bomber jackets, leather jackets, etc. I suppose we could eventually include all of them! I appreciate your suggestions very much!

All of the participants did a great job styling their suede pieces-thanks for including me in the challenge! You’re suede coat is fantastic! Maybe you will find more use for it in the spring in northern New York, because it doesn’t look like the type of coat you would want to shovel snow in! Hope you have a good week, and I am looking forward to the next challenge!

Thanks so much for joining us, Di! I do love the look of my suede coat but you are right, it isn’t something I’m going to shovel snow wearing. Early spring might be my best bet! I am excited for the cropped sweater challenge as well. I think it will be more difficult than suede, but it should yield some interesting pieces!

I love suede so I’m really surprised I didn’t have anything…not even a handbag!

I am surprised that you didn’t have anything suede either! No handbag or boots or shoes or belts or a jacket hiding somewhere? More importantly, do you have any cropped sweaters to share for next month? I think that one will be even more difficult than suede.
