The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Suede

I can’t believe that Nancy and I started this little series of ours 8 years ago! You can check out our very first post from February 18, 2018, for a good chuckle. It’s getting more and more difficult to choose unique themes for this series because it seems like we have covered them all. So if you have any theme ideas or something you would like to see us share, please let us know in the comments.

And now for February’s Suede edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. Much thanks to all who have joined us. You keep it fun and interesting!

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“Although I am not a jacket girl, I like this one a lot. The colour is gorgeous and it looks great on so many outfits. Can’t wait to wear it in spring more as a outdoor jacket. It’s faux suede and it has pockets. And even if I haven’t worn it that much yet, it is a Good Buy!”

“This outfit includes a bright teal faux suede blazer over a black and white lace blouse, and worn with black straight leg trousers. I would consider this blazer a good buy, as it is a classic shape that never goes out of style. I have worn it for years. And I love the unusual color. It is one of my favorite pieces to pull out for fall and winter weather.”

“Here is my contribution to a Good Buy for suede. I found this jacket at a local boutique at least 10 years ago, and while I don’t wear it often, I love it tremendously.”

“I bought these new faux suede boots this fall and they have been such a good buy! I love the color and the slouchy look. For today’s photo I paired them with my favorite dress pants, my new crochet sweater and an old scarf.”

And Me!
“I reviewed this suede jacket in the spring and I had very high hopes for it. While it is a lovely and luxurious genuine suede coat, I did not wear it one single time this winter. So maybe not such a Good Buy. Yet. I still have hope for it though!”
Up Next for March: Cropped Sweaters

We will be featuring Cropped Sweaters for the March’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. I would say a cropped sweater is one that is too short to cover your buttocks and generally ends before your waistline. But you can certainly be flexible with the definition and share just a short sweater.

If you would like to join us for this round, all you have to do is take a photo or two and email them to us with a brief description about why it’s a Good Buy or a Good-Bye. You are welcome to submit two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs. Please email your photos and descriptions by the 10th of March to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can add you to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book.

*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.
