For April, we have the made the prompt a bit more specific with our focus this time just on Necklaces. Necklaces come in all sorts of styles like chokers, bibs, lariats, tassels, pendants, chains, or leather ropes. In fact, this article defines 29 different necklace styles to inspire you!

Thank you to everyone who has participated this month with their necklaces…good, bad, or indifferent! We appreciate you.

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“I loved this necklace so it was a Good Buy. I love feathers and leaves in jewellery, this one has feathers. And a beautiful brown stone. For me it was such a summer necklace. And as you can see I wore it with greens and neutrals. The feathers fell of at one point and the necklace lost its charm. I think it was Primark!”

“It is so hard to choose favorites, so I picked a hand crafted necklace that I thought would show up well for the challenge. Handcrafted necklace with three rows of Peruvian pink quartz beads, a Good Buy!”

“I don’t really remember where or when I got this necklace but I hardly ever wear it. I love the colors and the double strand style but it is so darn heavy it feels like wearing a weight around my neck. I tried pairing it with this spring blouse and purple cardigan and while I loved how it looked together I just could not stand wearing the necklace all day. So, it’s time to say good-bye.”

“I’m with you and have a ton of necklaces, so lately I LOVE wearing a bunch of them all at once. It’s a rare thing to call a necklace a bad buy, so I consider all of these GREAT!!”

“I actually didn’t buy this necklace. My daughter and I were shopping, and I saw this necklace and fell in love. It was rather spendy for me in those days. I finally convinced myself to buy it only to discover it was gone. Imagine my surprise when Mother’s Day arrived, and my kids had bought it for me! It will always be a special gift.”

And Me!
“I bought this tassel necklace from a boutique in North Carolina a few years ago. It was rather pricey but I thought it was so unique and such a statement piece. I don’t wear it often because the wide leather strap isn’t very comfortable for long durations. However, I still consider it a Good Buy because I likely will never say Good-Bye to it and it is a lovely memento from a wonderful vacation.”
