DNA Discoveries & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #63
As I am preparing to head into New York City tomorrow for The Forever Fierce Meet Up, I am writing this post on Monday afternoon sitting at my best friend, Jane’s, dining room table. She lives in my home state of Pennsylvania and has very generously allowed me stay in her spare room while I have been cruising around the tri-state area for the past 3 days reconnecting with some old friends. Today, I decided to just hang at her house and catch up on some blogging work. She is in the other room on her computer working on genealogy projects. *This is not a sponsored post. As always, all…

Introducing The Sunday Showcase…
Happy Sunday, dear readers! Today I am sharing something a little different with you and introducing a new monthly blogger link up that will go live the first Sunday of every month. This link party is hosted by three of my very good blogging friends, Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood, Chrissy of Granola and Grace, and Kellyann of This Blonde’s Shopping Bag. I was so honored when they reached out to me to be the very first co-host for this new link up. *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. Fabulous Link Ups Where I Link Up & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #61
Blog parties and link ups are a great way to network within the blogging community. They are a wonderful avenue to discovering amazing blogs that you may not otherwise have found in the seemingly endless ocean of blogs on the internet. As of 2017, it was estimated that there are over 440 million blogs worldwide. So how in the world do you tap into your favorites in a niche that is interesting and beneficial to you? *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. I mean, you can’t possibly read them all. You can’t even read all the ones in your favorite genre. Actually,…

My Humble Writings on New York Fashion Week
Recently, I added a freelance writing gig to my already very busy blogging schedule, but I do love to write and I really love to get paid for my words! I mean, who doesn’t like a paycheck in exchange for doing something that you already love doing? So I began doing some writing for a website called Gorgeous Girl. I have been contributing articles on fashion, beauty, and skin care and dabbling a tiny bit in the realm of celebrity news (that is not really my thing, but I gave it a try anyway). *This is a sponsored post. This kimono was provided to me for purposes of this blog.…

The Evolution of Love
*This post is inspired by everyone I have ever known in my lifetime and everything I have ever loved. The concept of love is a tricky one, isn’t it? It changes throughout time with each and every relationship, with every new encounter and experience in our lives. As we grow and evolve and change, our entire understanding of the meaning of this word changes. It changes as the context changes, it changes as the object changes, it changes as the subject changes. It is both subjective and objective while at the same time being neither. It just keeps changing until we either begin to take it completely for granted and…

What It’s Like to Live in a Snow Globe
Who doesn’t love a pretty snow globe? A symbol of childhood, innocence, and the happiest days of our youth. With or without a music box, these glass spheres create a feeling of warm fuzzies all while sharing a cold winter weather scene. Created by glassblowers in France in the early 19th century as adjuncts to paperweights, these pieces eventually made their way to the United States and became popular collector’s items in the 1920’s. They have featured everything from movie scenes to tourist attractions and are a very common gift given to children even today. We have quite a few snow globes around our house and I know I have…

A Tourist in My Home Town & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #24
Over the Memorial Day weekend, the family and I headed to Pennsylvania for the long holiday weekend. The weekend was booked solid with plans and events. Friday was spent mostly traveling. Then on Saturday, my mother-in-law kept the children for us and we headed off to my hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the night. For those of you who may not be familiar with my little hometown of Bethlehem, it isn’t really that little and it is host to many tourists, drawing crowds for a huge annual music festival. It also boasts many museums, a casino, and local venues for all sorts of artistic and musical aficionados. In addition to…

To Dye or Not To Dye and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #17
To dye or not to dye? That is my question. Do you or don’t you? I do. Oh, I do. And I have for most of my life. Here’s the scoop. I dyed my hair various shades of bright colors (green, red, blue, pink, purple) way back before it was cool. In fact, during my teenage years, I was labeled as a weirdo with my ever-changing rainbow locks. My genetically predetermined hair color was a boring shade of brown and I hated it. And as much as I hated it, I had an equal and opposite reaction in my love for dying my hair unnatural colors. Call it rebellion. Call…

Feeling Whimsical with Rosegal & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #11
Merriam-Webster defines whimsical as lightly fanciful or subject to erratic behavior or unpredictable change. The dichotomy between these two separate definitions just gave me a right hearty chuckle. While I am feeling lightly fanciful in this adorable lacy dress from Rosegal, I am simultaneously suffering from yet another whimsical decision made by the Army! Any member of the military or their dependents reading this knows exactly what I mean. Yes, my friends, the Army is classic for its erratic behavior and unpredictable changes. And we members of the military community suffer all too often at its whim! *Disclosure: This dress was provided to me for review. All opinions and thoughts…
