Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Embroidery & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #681
December is the perfect month for extra adornments and attention to details so we have chosen Embroidery as our theme for 2023’s last Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. Anything you own that is decorated with embroidered details will do. Keep in mind that appliqué is also a form of embroidery. I say that because I know I have some appliquéd things in my wardrobe. Also keep in mind that your submissions don’t even have to be garments that you wear. Maybe you have a curtain or a bedskirt or table runner that features embroidery that you want to showcase. Feel free to interpret these themes however they best suit you. We just want you to join the fun!
If you have any ideas of themes you would like to see covered next year, please let us know in the comments. We have been hosting this series for a long time and it’s getting more and more difficult to choose unique and interesting styles as our focus. You can see all the different themes we have covered since 2018 here.
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.
Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos for Embroidery will be due to us by the 10th of December.

I love embroidered items and was so surprsied to find that I have hardly any left in my wardrobe. I had 3 pairs of jeans and and old favorite blouse that I had to get rid of years ago when I lost all my weight and I hated to part with them. I can’t believe I haven’t replaced them by now. Your embroidered boots are fabulous!!

Thanks so much, Joanne! I hate when I get rid of things and then miss them! Lately, however, when I purge my closet, I have been finding ways to upcycle the things that have really cute details that have made them difficult to part with! There are so many cute things you can do with fabric scraps, old clothing, etc. I have actually considered cutting out beautiful details from old clothing and framing them or something for wall decor. Gah. So many ideas!
