Make a Statement in the New Year with Graphic Tees & Your Own Twist Link Up #28
I don’t rise and shine. I caffeinate and hope for the best. After my last post on Tuesday, I figured it’s a good time to keep things light and fun today. But before I get there, I do want to thank each and every person who took the time to read that post and share comments in the discussion. The polite, respectful, and intelligent discourse was the perfect fuel for my weary soul during these rather troublesome times. I am so very grateful for that and for all of you. About Your Own Twist Your Own Twist is a monthly link party hosted by Monica of Jersey Girl, Texan Heart and…

Please Stop Calling Each Other Dumb & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #206
I don’t publicly rant very often but when I have reached my limit, I need to find some outlet to ease the frustration. And I have reached my limit. We live in this digital age where everything we do is online. We share our lives with friends and family on social media. We write articles and stories that we draw from our experiences and post them in online forums. We write blogs, we host podcasts, we have YouTube channels. We exist in a world that provides an endless amount of means to share ourselves, our thoughts, our passions, our beliefs, and our opinions for the whole world to see. Yes,…

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Monochrome & Link Up On the Edge #228
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. This month’s theme is Monochrome which doesn’t exactly lend…

Style Imitating Art: Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer
This is my second time participating with a Style Imitating Art prompt and I almost missed it…again! I saw the prompt yesterday, the day that submissions were due, and didn’t want to miss out on the fun. So I hastily created an outfit inspired by the chosen artwork, took some photos, edited a few, and sent one off to Terri of Meadow Tree Style who curated the artwork for this challenge. I was left with just enough time to draft a post of my own to share with you all. Be sure to visit Terri’s blog today to see all of the other art inspired outfits. About Style Imitating Art…

My Cloffice Makeover & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #205
I took Friday off from writing content in the interest of taking a mental health day and then I launched myself whole heartedly into a makeover project for my cloffice (closet/office). I began the renovation on Friday evening by moving everything out of the room and finished all but the hallway trim by Sunday evening. I want to explain this strange little place in our house that has become known as my cloffice. It was originally the entranceway from the front door which would have faced the side driveway instead of the actual front of the house. At some point during the history of our home, this tiny foyer area…

Inspired by Graceful Rags: Preloved Style in a Checked Shirt
Why is getting dressed becoming more and more challenging with each week that passes spent in lockdown mode? It really is quite the struggle to get myself motivated to create interesting outfits and smile happily for the camera when all I really want to do is cuddle up in my jammies, pull a blanket over my head, and sleep until spring. The winter blues are a very real thing for me and many others, but this winter seems to be even lousier than winters past. With no where to go and no one to see, I am trying to prevent myself from disappearing into obscurity. Although disappearing into nothingness sounds…
