Songful Style | “Leather and Lace” by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #264
I must apologize for not getting this post live yesterday as I said I would. I began my 900 mile drive back home from North Carolina before 6:00 a.m. on Monday and arrived home just before noon on Tuesday. I thought I would sit down and write it then, but after unpacking all of my things and getting back into the parenting routine at home I was just too darn tired. I will share more about my trip next week once I get myself a bit more organized. For now, let me share more inspiration for March’s Songful Style prompt. About Songful Style Songful Style is a new ageless style…

I Made It to Tuckasegee & Link Up On the Edge #284
I completed my 900 mile drive to Becca’s house in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, where I will be spending the next few days. She recently purchased a homestead in the Bear Lake Reserve area of this tiny little Cherokee town, which she has craftily named The Bearfoot Hill Homestead. It’s basically a hippie haven situated off of a winding mountain road that would bring peace and serenity to any troubled soul. The photo above was taken in Becca’s back yard. Behind me in all directions is about 3,600 acres of woodland with only one neighbor in eyesight. What a wonderfully rejuvenating retreat this will be. I am so grateful for all…

Outfit Remix for Road Tripping & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #263
Two weeks ago, I shared this cheerful pink sweater in my road tripping post…the road trip which I embark on today! By the time you are reading this, I will likely already be on the road en route from northern New York to the mountains of western North Carolina. A round trip of over 1,800 miles that I will traverse today and tomorrow, arriving at my destination in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, some time tomorrow evening. In that previous post, I had mentioned that this cozy turtleneck sweater would be making the trip with me. In fact, I am wearing the same road trip outfit that I said I would except…

The Thrifty Six are Tickled Pink
Last month, the Thrifty Six brightened up January with some fabulously bold and brilliant styles in a beautiful array of rainbow hues. It was just what my soul needed in the middle of this long, gray winter and I quickly realized that I need to wear more bright colors this time of year for an instant mood boost. I think my Thrifty Six sisters would agree since Grace chose “Tickle Me Pink” as the theme for February…one of the main colors that I wore to brighten up January. It seems that pink is my favorite color these days. And now I cannot get the lyrics to Aerosmith’s “Pink” out of…

Library Lovers & Your Own Twist Link Up #41
February is most commonly known for being the month to celebrate love. Love in all of its forms. So it should come as no surprise that Library Lovers also want to celebrate their great affections for all things bookish during this amorous time of year. Book lovers everywhere can celebrate their literary and library love every year on February 14 or throughout the entire month or year. I mean, my love for books, just as my love for people, isn’t limited to just one day or one month a year. Library Lovers’ Day is an international holiday that began in Australia in 2006 when it was first announced by the…

Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. The theme for February is Winter Layers. *If you…
