Highlights from My North Carolina Road Trip & Link Up On the Edge #287
Finally, I am getting around to sharing some photos from my recent road trip to North Carolina. I arrived home on March 1 and slept for about a week which set me even further behind on everything. Then I spent a week catching up only to find myself behind again. I guess that is just the way life goes. Anyway, let’s get to it. I arrived at my friend Becca’s house in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, on Wednesday evening after dropping my kids off in Pennsylvania. I shared that part of my trip a few weeks ago. Knowing that I would be pooped from 12 hours of driving, Becca picked up…

Jewel Tones & Your Own Twist Link Up #42
I know today is St. Patrick’s Day when all of the internet is exploding with all things Irish and all things green. But I didn’t want to do what all of the internet is doing today. Instead we are celebrating Jewel Day by putting our own twists on jewel tones. Yes, I ended up in green anyway but that’s only because green is my forever favorite color and emeralds are my favorite gemstone (and my birthstone) so emerald green was the obvious choice for me. Jewel Day is always celebrated on March 13 and it is simply a day to celebrate gemstones and jewelry…by either giving or receiving these gifts!…

Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. The theme for March is Periwinkle and Purple. *If…

Denim for Days | March Stylish Monday Link Up
“You can make jeans and a t-shirt super stylish. It’s what you make of it, you know?” – Phillip Lim It seems like the world of denim has gone completely crazy with an endless amount of styles to suit everyone’s aesthetic and needs. I have gone through many phases of denim love and sometimes hate over the years. There was a time during my grade school years and a time in my 20s when I didn’t own a single pair of jeans. Over the last five years, however, I have become a bit of denim collector. I do believe that I own every style of denim (skinnies, flares, cropped, boyfriend,…

Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Periwinkle and Purple & Link Up On the Edge #285
The Pantone color of the year for 2022 is Very Peri…a shade of purple “whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.” The color encompasses the qualities of blues while also possessing a violet-red undertone that displays “a spritely joyous attitude and dynamic presence.” Very Peri is a gorgeous color to transition from the cold winter months into the warmer spring days that lie ahead making it the perfect theme for March’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book.
