The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Yellow

Yellow seems to be really having a moment right now. For me, at least. I am so drawn to this vibrant, cheerful color and I find myself adding more and more sunshine to my closet! Let’s see how everyone else is wearing yellow. Thanks so much to everyone who joined us this month! We appreciate you.

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. 

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“I bought these trousers first in pink and they are so great that I bought them in butter yellow, too. Styled on my blog a few weeks ago with brown slingbacks and a leopard print tee. But this is the way I prefer to wear it. With a lovely striped tee and white sneakers. Best buy of this season!”

“This photo is a bright yellow elbow length sleeve sweater with the sweetest ruffle detail on the sleeves. Worn with navy blue ankle cropped trousers. Although I like the sweater, I would love it in another color! I would not consider it a bad buy, because it is fun to wear, but I wouldn’t call it a good buy either, as it is not often worn, since it is not a good color on me.”

“I didn’t think I had anything yellow in my closet until I spied these shorts and I remembered how much I love them. I paired them with a new (thrifted) navy top and my favorite sandals for a cool summer look during our extreme heat wave. I have no idea where I bought these shorts or how much they cost or even how often I’ve worn them but I still think they were a good buy just for how much joy they bring me.”

“I love this yellow linen dress! It’s been on the blog three times, I think. This time, we were at a park in Plainfield (which was founded by Quakers hence the Plain).  I don’t worry about wrinkles in linen so this dress is wrinkled a bit.”

“I bought this bright yellow kimono robe a few years ago and haven’t had much opportunity to wear it but it’s still a Good Buy because I absolutely adore it. The color is super cheerful and the eyelet details tickle my fancy. It is also multi seasonal as you can see I have worn it in summer and winter. I definitely purchased it on super duper clearance making it an even better buy!”
