The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Peach Fuzz

Not wanting to overwhelm you with all the frivolity of multiple style challenges and articles in one day, Nancy and I decided to post this month’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book a day later than normal.

We are featuring Pantone‘s Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz, and it seems that I am not alone when I say this color does nothing for me. Therefore, I don’t own much of it and apparently, based on participation for this theme, nobody else really wears Peach Fuzz clothing either. That is a big fail for Pantone!

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.

“This dress feels like wearing a shower curtain as it is polyester and I really hate it. I bought it especially for this theme on Vinted and going to resell it immediately. On the photo it did look more peach, but it’s a little peach and a lot of cold shade of pink. I also don’t like peach and have no idea why Pantone think it’s the colour of the year! You can guess it, this was a real Good-Bye! Did find peach sneakers in my closet????”

“I have to admit that I don’t have a ton of this color, but I’m working on it, haha. Here’s one blouse that I have that fits the bill. For this photo, I combined it with another button-up to create a unique top. But both tops have been good buys from thrifting because they are so versatile.”

“I bought this peachy colored wrap years ago because I loved the vibrant colors in the print. However, shades of peach never flatter my skin tone so I rarely reach for this particular garment, opting instead for more flattering colors. I have no intention of saying good-bye to it though because I love all of my dramatic toppers and rarely do I part with them unless they are egregiously horrible in fit, texture, color, or print.”

    I think that Lesley , on my blog, looks best in Peach. But other then that, why in heavens name is it the colour of the year righ? I do appreciate the two toned dress Jodie is wearing!

    I tend to stick a bit more to coral rather than peach and while I was going to pull out some coral/peachy tones for this challenge I found that the one or two pieces I do have are all for very, very warm weather which we just are not having yet this year.

      I am with you on that, Joanne! Coral is a much more flattering color with its pinkish undertones than peach with its orange base. We are finally getting some days with spring weather even though we are already a full month into the spring season. Come on already!

    I’m shocked that no one wanted to join in. Even though I don’t have much of the color, I love the appeal of trying new shades of colors.
    Heck, I’m working on my peach post for our Mag 8.

      I think it is just a really hard color for most people so no one joined because no one owns any Peach Fuzz. I am using the same outfit that I shared on Nancy’s Good Buy/Good-Bye post for Peach Fuzz because I don’t really have anything else! I am looking forward to seeing what you all style for this color.

      It is such an unflattering color for most people so it makes me laugh that the retailers will be bursting with it. And then it will all be on clearance by August! I like peep toes almost as little as I like Peach Fuzz! Haha. But I do have a lot of peep toe booties from a few years ago when they were super trendy.
