Welcome to December’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book featuring all things Tartan (or plaid, checked, checkered, etc.) I have always loved plaids and tartans. It is one of my favorite pattern types because you can find it in countless different color combinations, sizes, and fabrics. My life has been nothing but a series of snow days lately. Our total snowfall over Thanksgiving weekend was between 4 and 5 feet depending on where you live in the city. Some forecasts are predicting snowfall totals of 71 inches for Watertown. Yes, you read that correctly. Seventy-one inches. That would be nearly six feet (5.91667 feet to be exact).
