100th Post: 100 of My Favorite Things
I have been so excited to publish my 100th blog post! I have had a lot of ups and downs through the last 99 posts between struggling with writer’s block, motivation issues, and the constant readjustments due to Army life. I am pleasantly surprised that I have stuck with blogging long enough to publish 100 posts. And I have my one year blogiversary coming up in about a week. So please stay tuned for a very special post in celebration of that blogging milestone as well! After much brainstorming and lots of input from friends, I decided for my 100th post that I would share with you 100 of my…

An Outfit, A Watch, A Movie, and On the Edge of the Week Link Up #9
First, I want to let you all know that this is my 99th blog post! I have something special in mind for my 100th post coming up early next week. And also another special post the following week to celebrate my 1 year blogiversary! So please be sure to check back and see what I have planned! Now on to this post… Tuesday night, I escaped all parenting duties and headed to dinner and movie with my friend Aimee. I went for super comfortable in my very distressed and faded boyfriend jeans, a boxy tee, footbed sandals, and a lightweight sweater around my waist in case the movie theater was…

5 Ways to Unblock Blogger’s (Writer’s) Block
If you are a blogger or a writer or involved in any creative pursuit whether it be for income or for pleasure, then I am sure that you are all too familiar with writer’s block (which I like to call blogger’s block) or creative block. Simply put, it is the inability to think of something to write (or paint or sculpt or sketch or create) and the condition of being unable to proceed with your creative endeavor. Speaking from the viewpoint of a blogger, we are faced with the challenge to create new and interesting content every time we sit down to draft a new post. And for me specifically,…

Boho Betty and On the Edge of the Week Link Up #8
If you read my last post, you will already know that I am super excited about my new venture as a Boho Betty brand rep! I received my first order of the the Foxglove Gold Studded Wrap Bracelet and the Wutu Faux Suede Wrap Bracelet (which unfortunately is no longer available). I am thrilled to say that these bracelets are even better than I expected! The vegan leather on these bracelets is so super soft against my skin creating a very comfortable fit. The Foxglove Wrap Bracelet has two snaps as closure for different sizes and the Wutu Wrap Bracelet has a magnetic closure making it so simple to put…

Exciting Things are Happening On the Edge
I am so thrilled to share with you all some of the exciting new things happening here on the edge! First, if you have visited my blog before and are reading this now, then I am sure you have noticed the whole new look of my website. I am coming up on one year of blogging in a few weeks (and my 100th post) and I decided it was time for a makeover. Plus, I have a bunch of new affiliate advertisers and needed a sidebar to place my ads (my previous format did not have a sidebar). I think this new format is a bit easier to navigate as…

I Made It Even Better and On the Edge of the Week Link Up #7
A few weeks ago, I was completely inspired by a post by Rachel of Garay Treasures when she published her Re-Purposed Old Jewelry Leaf Necklace Tutorial. While Rachel was re-furbishing a very old necklace, it struck me that I had a very new necklace that needed some help! In fact, it was my favorite long silver double tassel necklace that I had picked up last year from Cato Fashions. And when I say it was my favorite, I mean I wore it at least 3 times a week. And when all other necklaces failed to add fabulous to an outfit, I reached for this one. However, being a stay at…

Made With Love By Mom-Tunic Take 2
A few weeks ago, I published a post honoring the memory of my mother and showcasing my very special tunic that she made for me. (You can read that post here where I styled my tunic with boyfriend jeans and a kimono.) Many of you had suggested that I put this tunic into regular rotation as I previously had only worn it once or twice a year. So I took your suggestions to heart and here it is again. This time with a floral hanky hem skirt. Mom also made a matching scarf from the same fabric. But since it was too humid for a scarf, I used it as…

Do You Think I Have a Scarf Problem?
Back in May, I wrote a post about scarves being my signature accessory (you can read that post here). A few weeks ago, I realized that “scarves are my thing” might be a bit of an understatement. It might actually be a problem. An obsession, perhaps. An addiction, maybe. Not only can I not pass by any scarf with a gorgeous, brilliant, interesting, or unique print…but I often feel this compulsion to seek them out. If you have been reading my blog, you know, however, that I like to find a great deal and then brag about it. So a few weeks ago, I headed to my local Salvation Army…

Crochet Vest Two Ways and On the Edge of the Week Link Up #6
I picked up this adorable crochet vest on clearance last year from Cato Fashions, but then every time I put it on since it never looked quite right. But I think I have finally figured it out and I have styled it twice in the past two weeks. The first outfit is the exact same outfit I had on when I purchased the vest and I loved how it looked so much the day I bought it that I wore it out of the store. At first I was unsure of pairing the ivory of the vest with white jeans, but then I liked it when it all came together.…

I Literally Have Nothing to Say
I have nothing to say…for real. I have been struggling for the past week for unique and interesting content and I think I have run out of ideas. Blank. Vacant. Writer’s block. Blogger’s block. Whatever you want to call…it’s gone. So today, I am just going to present with you a little something silly. If you have read previous posts of mine, you already know how uncomfortable I am posing for pictures…even when I am alone, taking the photos with my iPhone, a remote, and a tripod. You also will know that technology can piss me off like the dickens. Side note: That phrase “like the dickens” just gave me…
