The White Screen of Death During Moving Week!
My entire life is currently in boxes and we are slowly moving them across town to our new house. In the midst of the chaos, I discovered that my website was completely down…I was experiencing the WordPress White Screen of Death. But it is up and running again thanks to the BlueHost support team. However, I have to get back to moving and unpacking boxes so we are settled when the children arrive back home on Friday. Many thanks to Gramma and Pap for watching them all week. Additional thanks to Amy and Alex for picking the kids up in Pennsylvania and bringing them home. I absolutely hate moving and…

The Bad Buy Book: April 2017-Trousers
Welcome to The Bad Buy Book! This month’s theme is Trousers! The Bad Buy Book is a series hosted by Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge and Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style. We wanted to establish together something fun and new. We both talked about our Sitting Shoes and The Bad Buy Book was born! We all do our best to look great in our outfits, choose the right accessories, the right makeup, the perfect shoes, and wait for the best light to shoot the most flattering outfit photos. And now we are asking you to show us the items you don’t feel your very best in. You know, those…

Dressing Up for Easter with Rosegal & Link Up On the Edge #40
I rarely dress up for Easter, maybe once every 4 or 5 years, but this year I may be going all out on my Easter outfit! When I saw this cobalt dress with a swan print available from Rosegal, I knew it had to be mine! To be honest, I was torn between the blue and the red (the blue appears to be sold out now). I have been wanting a red dress for some time now (it shocks me that in my extensive wardrobe there is a not a red dress to be found). But the cobalt blue just kept calling to me as so perfectly Spring-like. And blue…

Lula Love & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #18
As many of you already know, my weekly #SpreadTheKindness Link Up really is all about just that…spreading kindness. And each week I try to share something in a way that is me just spreading some kindness. After my pretty intense post from yesterday (the response was completely overwhelming, in a good way, particularly on Facebook), I actually am finding myself quite mentally exhausted today! So I am going to simply share some Lula Love with you all! I am sure most (if not all) fashion bloggers reading this know of LulaRoe. Probably any woman reading this who has shopped for clothing in the past 12 months know the brand as…

How Pornography Saved My Sex Life
Low sex drive. Decreased libido. Zero interest in intercourse. Gah. Much to my husband’s disappointment, I have been dealing with these issues for quite some time. But what causes it and how do you fix it? At least fix it to the point where both parties in the relationship can reach a satisfactory compromise? Seriously, I can go months without sex. And that’s not good. It really isn’t. It’s not good for my mental state. It’s not good for my husband’s mental state either. Resulting in a little bit of tension within our marriage around the issue of sex. I don’t want you to be mistaken, though. My marriage is very…

So Many Hats & Link Up On the Edge #39
How many hats do you find yourself wearing? And do you have trouble finding a healthy balance in the constant changing of your hats? Figuratively, I wear so many hats…I am a mother, a wife, an Army spouse, a sister, a friend, a small business owner, and a blogger. And there are so many little hat changes that happen within each of these jobs because, as you all are well aware, each job has a million different responsibilities that go with it. Outfit Details Coat: Old Navy (No longer available, but cute Spring options here and here). Pants: Target (No longer available, but similar options here and here). Sweater: Kohl’s…

To Dye or Not To Dye and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #17
To dye or not to dye? That is my question. Do you or don’t you? I do. Oh, I do. And I have for most of my life. Here’s the scoop. I dyed my hair various shades of bright colors (green, red, blue, pink, purple) way back before it was cool. In fact, during my teenage years, I was labeled as a weirdo with my ever-changing rainbow locks. My genetically predetermined hair color was a boring shade of brown and I hated it. And as much as I hated it, I had an equal and opposite reaction in my love for dying my hair unnatural colors. Call it rebellion. Call…

Better Late Than Never & Link Up On the Edge #38
I mentioned in my post on Tuesday that we were headed to the airport to pick up my husband who was finally returning home after 78 days away. I had big plans of photographing this adorable dress from Rosegal at the airport. I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for the vintage style dress. Plus the red, white, and blue with the bold stripes are in some way reminiscent of an old school airline stewardess, no? But the weather apparently had another plan. *This is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I got all dolled up to see my husband for the first…

Feeling Like An Old Hippie and #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #16
There is a story behind this outfit and how it came to be be. On Saturday, I smashed my toe on the little trampoline that has made its home in the middle of my living room. It was a toe stubbing that made witnesses cringe. However, after about 60 seconds of eeking and owwwing, the toe was fine. Then on Sunday, I stubbed the same toe on some flattened moving boxes that were propped against the couch. This time the stubbing was not so bad. However, after about 10 minutes the pain began to worsen and the thought crept into my head, “Hmmm…this toe feels broken.” About an hour later,…

The Fab 40’s Are Princess Inspired
Brave. Headstrong. Free-spirited. Impulsive. Quick-witted. Stubborn. Outgoing. Willful. Intelligent. Impetuous. Soft of heart. These are all words that have been used to describe Princess Merida of DunBroch from the Pixar movie Brave. Coincidentally, I have been called these things myself on a few occasions. So when I was asked to participate in this month’s Fab 40s collaboration with the theme of Inspired by our favorite Disney Princesses, I was excited, flattered, honored, and completely willing to accept the challenge. When I heard the theme we were to use to inspire our look for this series, my mind went immediately to Merida. She is absolutely my favorite of all the Disney…
