I relate to the loss of brain power. lol I feel like I’ve been that way for months now! Anyway, I remember those looks but forgot they were by Dress Lily. That’s why the brands need us to remind folks.

Aw, Chrissy, thanks so much! I had the most wonderful Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. My grand-nieces and grand-nephew were just too darn adorable and ever so loving to their Aunt Mimi! And it is so fun hanging with my nephews as well. They turned out to be pretty cool adults. Unfortunately, my sister is incredibly camera shy and would not permit even one single photo of herself! Boo on her. One day I will catch her in a mood for a selfie and then I will definitely share! I hope you had the most wonderful Thanksgiving as well, my friend.

Bettye, thanks so much! It is nice to know that I am not alone in the struggle. Although I don’t wish such struggles on anyone. If my inspiration would start flowing more, I’d be on a roll. It’s that darn slump that makes everything else so difficult. Oh, those teal velvet booties are from Just Fab or Shoe Dazzle (one of those, I can’t remember). I agree, Jodie! It’s funny though…I live in a rather small town with not very many retail clothing stores and I often wonder why I don’t see more people wearing the same things. Like if I find something cute and bold from Old Navy…why don’t see 15 other women wearing the same piece? Actually, I am going to answer my own question….I rarely leave my house these days! So I don’t see anybody ever. Haha. I need to bust out of my hermit status. But I quite like hiding from people these days. Oh the sweet Winter Blues have arrived in full effect, I am afraid. OK. I’m worn out again. I was so ready for a four-day weekend and it was so totally therapeutic but I wasn’t ready for Monday :/ And then I read your post and now I’m ready for another four-day weekend. I think sometimes we take the blogging so seriously (and I know most of us are trying to make a few cents here and there so it becomes more critical to keep up – it’s a job) that we stress ourselves out over it. It happens to me every week. Maybe it’s time for some “you time”. I just love all of your looks. You have such a unique sense of style that blends edgy and vintage and you just look gorgeous in it! Ruth, thanks so much, my friend! I didn’t want my post to make you feel exhausted! For me, blogging and writing is my actual job and my only source of income so the pressure really is on to stay on top of it all! I definitely do take me time…probably too often…which contributes to my being behind! Ha. I am just seriously lacking inspiration lately with my words! I have been feeling super creative with my clothing though. But I don’t want to be just a fashion blogger…I need more substance from myself than the just the clothes! I hope you are able to rest and rejuvenate and get back to normal levels of productivity as well! Aw, Jess, thanks so much! I just styled my new red sweater dress that was inspired by yours so stay tuned next week for that post! As for tying blanket scarves, I just make a giant triangle and drape it around my neck once with the point in front. I usually don’t even tie them, but you can tie a little knot either under or on top of the point, whichever you prefer, to keep it secured. Or secure the ends together with a brooch.
