Big Blanket Premier Plush Wrap in Moss, purple and green, plum monochrome outfit, winter boho style, white cowgirl boots, gray chenille fedora, Shelbee on the Edge

Big Blanket Love & Spread The Kindness Link Up On the Edge #800

If you recall, I shared some of my favorite Christmas gifts back in January including this Big Blanket Premier Plush™ Wrap in Moss. Since this wrap is considered loungewear, I have been wearing it primarily at home while lounging. It hadn’t immediately occurred to me that I can wear it outside of the house as a cozy topper for cold weather. Once I remembered that I am not generally a person who adheres strictly to labels, I decided I needed to create an outside outfit with my Big Blanket as the focal point.

Before I get to the outfit, let me tell you some stuff about this amazing Big Blanket Wrap. It is heavier than I expected and softer than any blanket I own. The ruana style perfectly suits my style aesthetic whether I am wearing lounge clothes or outside clothes. The muted moss color is stunning and works as a lovely neutral, sometimes appearing gray with a slight tint of green.

And, as the product name suggests, it is really big. Big enough to wrap around my plus sized body with plenty of room to spare. It is even big enough to use as a regular throw blanket when I am snoozing on the couch. In fact, ever since I received this awesome Christmas gift from my husband, my Big Blanket has found its permanent residence thrown over the back of the living room sofa so I can easily grab it anytime I get cold.

“Plush, polished, and plan-canceling cozy.” That is how the website describes this wonderfully giant garment. It is definitely plush. So plush that it feels almost like a weighted blanket. If weighted blankets were designed to feel like comforting hugs, then this Big Blanket Wrap was designed to feel like a warm embrace. The kind of warmth that makes you feel a little safer and a little sassier.

It is also certainly polished. As long as you like a bit of boho in your personal style arsenal. Heck, if you aren’t very much into bohemian styles, this Big Blanket Wrap can be incorporated into any style aesthetic really.

Plan-canceling cozy. Definitely. But not necessarily. Because you can wear it out of the house for any plans at all!

The Big Blanket Premier Plush™ Wrap features a luxe double-layered weave in a breathable, all-seasons fabric in a relaxed shawl-style silhouette. It has two large front pockets, cuffed sleeves with thumb holes, and side slits that give it the perfect boho flow. The Big Blanket Wrap is available in 15 different colors and prints to suit most any taste.

The 100% micro feather polyester is machine washable on cold and can be tumble dried on low. The garment measures 30″ in length and 50″ in width with a 20″ sleeve length and fits all unisex sizes up to an XXL. I am generally a size XL or XXL and you can see that I have plenty of room in this blanket wrap. So I would say that it probably fits people much larger than XXL as well.

The Big Blanket Company offers free shipping on all orders over $150, free returns and exchanges, and a 100 night guarantee. I have had my wrap for 92 nights and I can guarantee that it has been an amazing addition to my wardrobe so far. It is so good that I have been stalking the website for sales so I can add the deep purple blanket wrap to my school events wardrobe. It will be so good for cold football games!

There currently is a 20% off “Spring into Cozy” sitewide sale going on with a BOGO Free sale on their Outdoorsy Collection. With a price tag of $165 for the Big Blanket Wrap, I would consider this an investment piece, but one that is well worth the investment. I will have my price per wear below $1 by the time the warm spring temperatures finally arrive in the blustery cold North Country and then I will order my second one!

By the way, this is not a sponsored post in any way. My husband surprised me at Christmas with this gorgeous wrap and I just love it so much that I had to publicly sing its praises.

For its very first outdoor appearance, I styled my mossy green Big Blanket Wrap over a column of plum. I have always loved the combination of green and purple in any shade of those colors from bold and bright to dark and muted. Because the blanket wrap is so voluminous, I kept my outfit beneath it more fitted to balance the proportions with newer plum leggings and a matching purple long sleeve tee shirt.

Embracing the monochromatic, I added an old dark purple scarf with a white paisley print. The white pattern on my scarf and the grayish tint of the wrap led me to white and gray accessories….white cowgirl boots, white clay earrings, white horn necklace, gray and white thrifted necklace, and my gray chenille fedora.

However, after taking photos with the gray fedora, I thought I might like my white Panama hat better so I snapped a few more photos in my back yard after changing my hat. I think I like the white hat a little better but I don’t think the color change made much of a difference in the overall aesthetic at all. What do you think? Which hat do you like better with this outfit combination?

I know many of you are already experiencing the beauty of spring weather, but it’s not too early to plan for the cold weather that will inevitably come again in the fall and winter! So if you like to be cozy and warm and spend a lot of time lounging on your couch like I do, I highly recommend the Big Blanket Premier Plush™ Wrap! Get one now while they are on sale.

I don’t think I’d wear it outside (my denim jacket is part of my “uniform”), but I can very well imagine snuggling up in it at home. Purple sounds awesome!

Hahaha, thanks so much, Pamela! I generally run pretty cold as well but heat flashes sneak up on me sometimes! Fortunately, my Big Blanket is easy on-easy off as my menopausal body temperature fluctuates erratically! I hope you have a lovely weekend, my friend.

I love muted colours, especially green. It’s a fantastic blanket and I wished I had one. I’m always cold. Both hats look very good, you can wear any hat! Have a great weekend my friend.

Oh, Shelbee your blanket wrap looks so cozy! It works well as an outdoor piece because of the pockets, I think. Love your outfit color combination or muted green and purple. Your outfits are always so interesting and full of fun details and texture. Hope you have a good weekend, and thanks for sharing and hosting the link up.

Di, thank you so much, sweet friend. I probably won’t wear this wrap outside much as it is perfect on my couch but it was fun to style it for outdoor wear. When I get the purple one, I will definitely be wearing that to sporting events though! I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!

What a fabulous a cozy oufit! I love the colors. I can’t say the hat color makes a huge difference but if pressed I do think the gray somehow tricks my eyes into thinking it nearly matches the green and therefor makes it slightly more cohesive than the white so the gray is my favorite (but not by much!).

    • shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com

Thanks so much, Joanne! After looking at the photos of both hats, I don’t see much difference now. I thought the white hat created a nice bookend effect with my white boots but then it didn’t have the same striking effect in photos as it did in the mirror. Oh well. I have about a thousand hats so I guess I can just switch on a whim whenever I’m hat-insecure or unsure!

I have to admit I would never have realized this was a blanket until you said so. It’s such a beautiful color, too. I love green and purple combinations so this is just fabulous! I actually do like the white hat better maybe because it stands out? Don’t you love it when your husband gets you so completely? Thanks so much for the link up!

Thanks, Marsha! The Big Blanket Company calls these wraps “Wearable Blankets” which cracks me up! They don’t look like blankets but they sure do feel like them! I do love that my husband gets me so completely but I am also pretty easy to get! LOL

Thank you for hosting this party. My link is 47.
The blanket/wrap looks very cozy and warm! You are stylin it well. I get what you mean by book end, boots and hat.

Oh wow, I LOVE this, Shelbee! What a fabulous piece of clothing / blanket! I would have loved that in our last house, it would have been perfect for the freezer that it was lol. It wouldn’t get much use in this place though, as we have underfloor heating (best thing ever!) plus my relatively frequent hot flushes mean I’m usually in a t-shirt!!
The outfit you styled is stunning—the colour combo is chef’s kiss—and the colours divine! I like both hats but if I had to choose, I’d probably go with the grey as it’s just a little bit softer.
    LOVE the boots!!!
    Big hugs

Suzy, thank you so much, my friend! I am also experiencing occasional hot flashes but they are often interspersed with cold flashes so this blanket wrap gets a lot of on-again/off-again wear! It is a fabulous piece to own though and I am really looking forward to getting the purple one.

Thanks, Jennifer! It is such a wonderfully cozy piece to have on hand for cold weather. With the perpetual winter that I endure in northern New York, I kind of miss Pennsylvania’s milder weather even when it is a bit bipolar! LOL Have a lovely week!
