Wednesday’s Quote of the Week & A Thanksgiving Outfit

Thanksgiving 2017Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States, I wanted to share a quote about giving thanks and gratitude. So I typed in a quick Google search (this is, after all, how one finds inspirational quotes these days) for “quotes about gratitude”. There were countless wonderful quotes speaking to this topic, many are quite well known, like this one …

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey

And this one…

“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.” -Brene Brown

But it was this one that really spoke to me today…

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” —Albert Einstein

Have you ever just looked around you, like really looked, and recognized all the miracles right in front of you? I think all too often we get so caught up the grind of daily living that we literally forget to live. We forget the fact that it is a miracle that we are here at all. And it is all the little miracles around us that need to be recognized and appreciated. By expressing gratitude for what we are given, rather than resentment for what we do not have, we can change our lives. It’s all about the perspective. It’s always about the perspective. And what better time for a gentle reminder than Thanksgiving and the holiday season. So tell me, what are you grateful for today?

I am grateful for these guys!
