Pastels for Spring. Yes, please!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this month’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book featuring Pastels. We love what you’ve shared and we appreciate you!

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. 

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“I have always loved the combination of red and pink. So when I saw this top I just had to have it. Although pastels aren’t my best colour. But the combination with the red balloon trousers I just could not resist. Btw, that’s my only red piece of clothing!”

“The second outfit is a pale blush pink two piece monochrome outfit. A chiffon blouse and ruffle hem faux wrap skirt. These pieces are not a set, and were not purchased together, but are almost a perfect match. I wear the skirt mixed with other tops more often than the blouse, but I would consider both of these pieces good buys.”

“I received these pastel pink corduroy pants in one of my Stitch Fix boxes last year and love their unexpected pop of pastel color. They were such a good buy and are perfect for our early spring days when I want something that feels light and summery but our weather still feels more like winter. I paired them with a pair of fleece lined mules and a lightweight sweatshirt.”

“Here is my photo for pastel. It may not, technically, be a pastel, but I think it’s a soft shade of green. This is a Gudrun Sjoden dress that I just love. I guess you could also say my hair is a little on the pastel side in this photo, too!”

“I bought this pastel blue floral dress by Zara on a thrifting adventure about 5 years ago. I think it was $8. I have only worn it twice and both times were for Style Imitating Art challenges. (The photos above link directly to their corresponding SIA posts.) I really love everything about this dress and should wear it more often. Definitely a Good Buy. The lacy kimono robe in pastel pink was also a Good Buy. I bought it years ago on clearance for $7. While it’s not even close to my favorite topper, I consider all of my robes, dusters, kimonos, and other toppers to be Good Buys!”

We will be featuring Linen for the June’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. Sure it wrinkles, but it’s lightweight and lovely and perfect for the summer months, which will be here before the spring weather arrives in Northern New York!

You are welcome to submit two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs.
