Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Peach Fuzz

Happy April, y’all! It is supposed to be spring but we have snow forecasted for tomorrow and I am not all that happy about it. Also, I am not thrilled that we are sitting at ground zero for a huge total eclipse event that is happening in a park just a few blocks from our house on Monday. Our little town of 24,000 people is expecting an influx of 174,000 people this weekend to view the total solar eclipse that is happening on April 8. The city has estimated that most of these traveling eclipse viewers will be at the park. I am not sure where 174,000 are going to park their cars or how they will all fit in that little park and large crowds make me extremely nervous. So the upcoming celestial event is definitely keeping this girl on the edge. But my sister and her husband and granddaughter are coming to watch it with us so that makes me very happy.

Enough about that. Let’s get to this reminder about Peach Fuzz,  Pantone‘s color of the year for 2024.

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Remember anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos for Peach Fuzz will be due to us by the 10th of April.

I usually share a big round up of outfits that fit the theme but peach is not an abundant color in my wardrobe so I don’t have much to share. Most of my peachy things are more in the realm of pink than peach so I will share what I have found in the archives to inspire you to join us with your favorite (or least favorite) peach-ish things.

Some of my things are more pink, others are more orange, but none are truly peach. This is what I’ve got so it’s what I’m sharing. You can do the same. We are not picky!

You are welcome to send two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs. Remember to include a brief description about your submissions. Please submit your photos and descriptions by the 10th of April to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can put you in the spotlight.

*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.

I hear you on the eclipse! We are in the path of totality, too. And, we live less than 10 miles from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway which has been advertising like crazy about the events they’re going to have. The highways around Indianapolis are just going to be parking lots. I almost bought tickets to an event at Newfields, the art museum, but I decided that was silly as I could just sit in my backyard. Of course, Indiana is contrary in so many ways, so it will either be cloudy or storming and we’ll miss the dang thing anyway!

I don’t have any peach at all! It’s a color I just cannot wear as my neck disappears and I look like a quarterback or is it a tight end?

Oh my gosh, Marsha. I just read a news article that USA Today has told the whole world that Watertown, NY, is the best place to view the eclipse. I am not pleased! This is going to be a freaking nightmare, I suspect. I wish you a safe and calm eclipse viewing experience, my friend! We will be staying right in our backyard, too. I need to go get all the groceries today…in the middle of a snow storm. Ugh. And yeah, peach, yuck. Not my color either.

      xoxo
