Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Fall Coats or Outerwear

We are approximately halfway through the autumn season, but we haven’t really experienced coat weather yet. I am not complaining at all. I’m really very grateful for the extended fall weather this year. Usually by now, we are covered in frost with a constant threat of snow lingering in the sky. But thanks to El Niño, it has been unseasonably warm this year and I am loving it!

Eventually it will get cold enough for coats, but until then we are sharing our favorite (or least favorite) Fall Coats or Outerwear for this month’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. That could be anything from denim jackets to heavy cardigans to fleece pullovers. Maybe save your puffer coats and furry toppers for the winter looks but if you wear heavier insulated coats in autumn, feel free to share those, too! We aren’t picky, we just like to see what you’ve been styling.

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month. 

Remember anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a brief description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. You just need a camera and an email address! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. 

Everyone is invited to join us in November to share your favorite (or least favorite) Fall Coats or Outerwear. All you have to do is snap a photo or two and email us with a short description by November 10, 2026, so you can be featured in our Good Buy/Good-Bye Book on November 15, 2026.

That’s 31 different types of outerwear including leather jackets, denim jackets, ponchos and wraps, coatigans, raincoats, capes, bomber jackets, and blazers. That should be enough to inspire you to share your fall outwear with us!
