Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Denim Skirts & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #668
September marks the beginning of the fall season in the northern hemisphere making it the perfect time to bring out our denim pieces. As we transition from the humidity of summer into the cooler autumnal months, denim garments can be worked more readily into your daily wear. We have featured denim jackets and jeans previously in this series, but this is a first for denim skirts. We invite you to share your favorites (or least favorites) with us this month.
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.
Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.
Denim skirts are not abundant in my wardrobe. I guess I really just don’t like them all that much. I have worn a denim skirt in a total of 12 out of 1,830 posts over the past 8 years. Speaking of 8 years, I totally forgot my 8th blog anniversary which was on August 24!
Here are all of my denim skirt outfits.
Now that you have seen mine, it is your turn to show me yours!
You are invited to join us in September to share your favorite (or least favorite) Denim Skirts. You are welcome to send two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs. Remember to include a brief description about your submissions. Please submit your photos and descriptions by the 10th of September to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can put you in the spotlight.

Hi Shelbee!!! First I love that denim skirt and I am on the hunt to add one to my closet! Secondly, thank you for featuring my back to school snack mix! Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much, Nicolle! If you find a denim skirt in the next 10 days, we would love for you to share it with us for this month’s post!

Thanks for the reminder Shelbee! I think I have a denim skirt somewhere that I hardly ever wore. I know I have a micro mini denim skirt but it’s wat too short to wear. Should be fun!!

Thank you, Jamie! I received your photos and they are perfect! Have a wonderful day!

Happy 8 years! That’s fabulous! I am happy to see denim skirts trending again. They are so easy to wear and super versatile!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Laura! Denim skirts are a timeless classic, I think, but I just can’t seem to find one that is comfortable enough for regular rotations! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

Thanks for the party. I’m one who buys a denim skirt, gets rid of it, buys another one, gets rid of it, etc. etc. etc. I keep reading and seeing that denim skirts are back big time for fall, especially the midi ones. I’m tempted to start the cycle again! 🙂
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Oh my gosh, Amy, I am cracking up because that has been my exact same relationship with denim skirts. I have yet to find one that I love and that is comfortable. I have gotten rid of most of the ones in this post for various reasons. But I think the main reason is that I just really don’t like wearing denim skirts! They are trending big again tis fall, but I am going to pass on it. If you start the cycle again, go for secondhand! LOL

It will be fun to pull out photos of denim skirts because I have had several, in the hope I would find a perfect fit! Unfortunately, still looking….and didn’t get one this year. Have a great weekend Shelbee.
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks, Gail! I struggle with the fit of denim skirts, too. Actually, I struggle with skirts in general. I really don’t have the perfect denim skirt either. They are all uncomfortable. In fact, I have gotten rid of most of the ones in this post because I really just don’t like wearing denim skirts. That being said, I hope you find some photos of your denim skirts to share with us this month! The more, the merrier! Have a lovely weekend, my friend.

Joanne
Well, you’ve got me beat; I don’t even own a jean skirt and don’t think I have since maybe middle or high school!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Oh, that’s kind of funny, Joanne! I have gotten rid of most of these because they either didn’t fit or I just don’t wear them often enough to keep them. I still have a few and I really want to photograph the white one that I recently dyed. But then I will likely pass it on to someone else who likes to wear denim skirts!

I like you in your denim skirts-the maxi one in the last photo is right on trend right now! I l wear denim skirts especially in the spring and fall, during the transitional weather months. I will see if I can find a photo to send for your good buy/good bye book. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for the link up!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Di! I actually got rid of the long denim skirt because it was really not that comfortable. I bought it at a thrift shop for $3 during the pandemic when you couldn’t try anything on. It fit fine but it really just wasn’t for me. Oh, I do hope you can join us this month with some of your denim skirts! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever had a classic denim skirt. I’ve had them in this classic style, but always in white denim or some other color. You’ve had a lovely array of denim skirts.

Thanks, Michelle. That’s kind of funny that the basic denim skirt never made its way into your wardrobe. But white or colored denim is way more interesting anyway!

Happy anniversary to you and your blog! I am hoping to find a denim skirt soon, but they are all pencil type skirts. Those just don’t work for me. Maybe, someone will link up one, and I can find the perfect skirt! Thanks for the link party!

shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Marsha! I had a few denim pencil skirts a while back and I don’t like that style on me either. You should check out thrift shops or Poshmark for one. I tend to see a lot of denim skirts in thrift stores near me. I definitely like the A-line style best in a denim skirt. Good luck in your search, my friend!

Hi Shelbee, I do not have a denim skirt. However, I just bought a denim jacket this year. Plan on wearing it alot this fall! My link up #54. Thanks for hosting!
Take care and best wishes.

Thanks for joining us, Debra! Denim jackets are a great addition for the transition into fall. I have quite a few different ones myself. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
