Last Friday, I shared a fall flashback outfit because I have been too lazy and too cold to take new photos recently. And since my freezing cold laziness stuck around for another week, I am sharing another fall flashback outfit today. Last week’s tie dye and denim outfit was way cuter and much more flattering than my oversized sweater and tie dye outfit this week. Generally I can put together outfits that are both comfortable and stylish. But sometimes I am fine with just the comfortable part.

Regardless of my not so flattering oversized outfit, I do love the way the colors worked with the autumn river background. Fall is such a beautiful season here in northern New York, but it just doesn’t last long enough. The leaves turn and before you really even realize it, they have all fallen to the ground. Then the snow comes. And stays for way too long.

I have exchanged my wide leg hippie pants for leggings that fit easily into boots until the snow disappears. That generally happens sometime in mid-May. So I still have quite a few days of wintery weather to endure before I really come back to life. I am definitely in hibernation mode and enjoying it more than you know.

This outfit is a typical combination for when I am just hanging around the house or running the kids to and from school. I loved these wide legged cotton pajama style pants from Rainbow Zen so much that I bought 4 pairs. These tie dye ones are my favorite especially in the warmer weather. I styled them in the summer with a tank top and kimono and these same Fauxenstocks.

The three other pairs of pants like these have a Buddha print on them and are so stinking comfortable that I literally wore them every day until the snow came. I already wore a hole through the crotch of the black pants so they have been downgraded completely to pajama pants, but the blue and the green pairs are still holding up along with the tie dye joggers and tie dye dress that I got on the same Rainbow Zen shopping trip.

Clearly, this outfit is all about comfort. And If I recall back to the fall, I believe I had no intention of taking photographs of this look. But then I figured I share pictures of my underwear so why not share pictures of my cozy wear? It is, after all, a more accurate reflection of what I look like most of the time.

I have a bohemian soul and a hippie heart and I will wear whatever the heck I like.

You might remember this photo from the Style Imitating Art post that featured the Solar System Quilt by Ellen Harding Baker

I changed into this outfit after shooting the outfit inspired by the Solar System Quilt and realized that it worked just as well by accident as the outfit I had purposefully created. Serendipity offers shows up in my style.
