What to Wear on a Holiday Date
Yesterday, I shared all about my holiday date in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, over Thanksgiving weekend but I didn’t show you what I was wearing. And since this is a bit of a fashion blog, I didn’t want to confuse you all into thinking that I wasn’t dressed appropriately. Of course I was. And any outing is a photo opportunity when you are a blogger. Everyone knows that.
We spent 6 days in Pennsylvania during the week of Thanksgiving and in my attempt to pack light, I only brought a few sweaters and scarves, two pairs of jeans, three pairs of boots, one set of jewelry, and one coat. All carefully coordinated to match but still keep it interesting. I had no intention of taking outfit photos at all. My plan was to dress comfortably and relax without outside concerns. But then my dear, devoted husband had the grand idea that we should photograph these simple casual outfits that I bring along for traveling. And so I managed four different outfit shoots when I intended none…my Thanksgiving Day outfit, a blue and white outfit for the Sunday Afternoon Quarterback, this outfit, and one more to be shared a later time.
I was all about keeping it casual and cozy during my little holiday break. This zebra print sweater is seriously so warm that it makes my frequent cold flashes almost bearable. To keep my muted blacks and grays a bit more interesting, I brought along my plushy leopard coat for a bit of animal print mixing. Plus the coat is like a soft blanket for snuggling up in the passenger seat on long drives. On our way into the downtown area of Jim Thorpe, we detoured by the railroad trestle for a quick photo shoot and then headed for the little hidden cave for a few more photos before my phone storage overflowed and shut us down.
And that’s all I have for today. A cozy winter date outfit for a casual stroll through a tourist town. Tomorrow I am teaming up again with Monica of Jersey Girl, Texan Heart, with our holiday looks in Your Own Twist. Do stop by and link up your outfits with us.
What have you been wearing lately?
Keeping it on the edge,

The leopard coat is the perfect touch to this casual chic look! I adore the tights underneath the ripped jeans.

Thanks so much, Kathrine! These are my favorite jeans ever. The fishnet is attached so there is absolutely no fuss with extra waistbands and all that nonsense.
