We are welcoming the new year in one of my favorite wardrobe staples…Leggings! They keep me cozy, warm, and comfortable nearly all year round. The only time I put my leggings away is on the days when it is too hot for tight clothes. But days that hot don’t happen often where I live so my leggings are always readily available for wear at any time. I have thin ones for warmer weather and fleece lined ones for cold weather. The holidays are here, bringing with them many opportunities for dressing up! So for December’s edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, we are featuring Wrap Dresses, which is a generic term referencing any dress that forms a front closure by wrapping one side across the other and securing it either in the back or on the side, usually forming a vee neckline. November’s theme is Slingback Shoes. It is important to note the specific characteristic that qualifies a shoe as a slingback. Basically, a slingback has an ankle strap that crosses only the back and sides of the ankle and heel instead of the more traditional shoe straps that encircle the ankle all the way around. October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month so we decided to feature our favorite (or least favorite) wardrobe pieces in shades of Pink. The pink ribbon is the internationally recognized symbol of support for people with breast cancer. It was first adopted by the Susan G. Komen Foundation in 1991 as a way to raise awareness and promote early detection of the disease. If you are a woman of a certain age, annual breast exams are recommended. I am currently playing phone tag with my local women’s wellness center to schedule my mammogram. I usually go in October every year because it’s easy to remember to get it done during Breast…
