When I first shared the artwork for this week’s Style Imitating Art challenge, I mentioned that I had photographed two different outfits to represent the Dr. Seuss painting that I chose. I was unable to decide which outfit better reflected the artwork so I shared the first outfit that I photographed on Monday. As I was getting dressed for that first set of photos, I spotted this floral dress hanging in my closet and the colors perfectly captured the essence of the painting. My mother-in-law came to visit a few weeks ago and when I showed her my new living room raggy window valance, she expressed an interest in something similar for her living room window, which I was, of course, happy to oblige. I wore this crazy outfit a few weeks ago to run errands and had no intention of even photographing it until Archie said I looked like a mushroom. This made me laugh and so I insisted he take a few pictures of me. Today seemed like the perfect day to share this fungus-inspired outfit since the masons are coming this afternoon to inspect the chimney and hopefully guide us in the right direction for remediating the mushroom in the ceiling problem.
