Outfits of the Day #ootd
I love to put together outfits. I find something calming and exciting in the process. And if I think I look good, I tend to feel great! Hopefully, you can find some inspiration here for feeling amazing in your own body.

Esqido Lashes with Makeover Giveaway & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #70
I am back from my mini vacation in Lake Placid! We took a lot of photos, drank too much alcohol, ate way too much really amazing food, stayed up until the wee morning hours, and had more fun than we could have even anticipated. I am mentally and emotionally recharged, but physically quite tired from all the fun! Isn’t that a great problem to have? I am still organizing photos and thoughts and all that stuff, so you will have to wait for more on my girls’ weekend getaway. Coming soon… *This is a sponsored post. The lashes were provided to me for review by Esqido Lashes and the makeover…

My Mary Kay Makeover & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #69
They say there is a first time for everything. I say great things happen outside of your comfort zone. So here it is…me going way outside of my comfort zone and doing something I have never done on my blog before…I am going to share a picture of myself without makeup. Brace yourselves for it…I am so not comfortable with this! But if I am going to share my Mary Kay makeover with you all, I guess I need to share my starting point…my face sans makeup! *This is not a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. So there it is…I faced my fears…

Ruby Ribbon Lace Leggings
Do you remember a few weeks ago when I shared my Ruby Ribbon wish list? Well, I did order two of the camis, the Lace Full Support Cami in Deep Sea and the Sheer Full Support Cami in Black. They are such a great alternative to bras! Super comfortable, moisture wicking, and supportive! *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. With my purchase of the two camis, I was eligible to receive $30 off a pair of capri leggings and I chose the Lace Capri Leggings in Black. Let me first tell you that I don’t wear leggings very often at all, but…

My Coffee Needs Coffee and Crybaby Soup & Link Up On the Edge #91
As I am sitting down to write this post at the final hour, I am really wanting to climb into bed after a hectic day that ended with the most trying of times with my 5 year old. You all know that I don’t like to complain much, especially on my blog, but this is quickly going to turn into a major bitch session. For that I apologize. I will try to inject it with humor at least. In the meantime, would somebody please start cooking up some crybaby soup for me? *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. 1. That first paragraph…

Empowered By Color: The Color Green
This post is for my dear blogging friend, Suzy Turner, the one person on earth whom I know loves the color green as much as I do. Perhaps it is because we both have green eyes that fuels our passion for this color. Perhaps it is because we both see the world as a place full of possibilities and astonishing beauty that draws us to this most common hue found in nature. But whatever the reason, Suzy shares my adoration of all things green. We have both agreed that if we see something in green, especially in the sartorial world, we must have it. Suzy Turner in Various Shades of…

20 Things That Make Me Happy & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #68
In light of my more serious and somewhat depressing content from yesterday’s post, I decided to turn my face to the sunshine (wherever it is currently hiding) and share with you all some of the things in my life that make me happy. Because today is #SpreadTheKindness Day here On the Edge…and sometimes just sharing our happy things with the world is one way of throwing kindness like confetti. (FYI…confetti does not make me happy. I actually kind of despise confetti. Such a mess.) *This is not a sponsored post. Without further adieu and in no particular order, here are 20 things that make me happy. 1. My kids. When…

My WTF Moment: How Do We Protect Our Children?
This past week there have been some disturbing happenings in our local schools, schools where my children, ages 5 and 7, attend. And while nothing tragic had occurred, these events have left me feeling unsettled and wondering, “How do we protect our children from the awful things that go on in this world?” *This is not a sponsored post. Perhaps I shelter my kids too much. I do try to be very conscientious and open with them about the realities of this world. But they are only 5 and 7, so how much should they know? Currently, they don’t have many cares at all. There is always food, clothing, a…

Camo Booties with Gooseberry Red & Link Up On the Edge #90
I have been wanting camouflage booties ever since I saw Cherie of Style Nudge showcase these Jeffrey Campbell Siren Booties in her Shoe and Tell Link Up back in November. While I still want these exact booties in the camo, I opted for this open toed version since Spring should be here soon. But since Spring weather did not arrive with the Spring Solstice, I had to wear socks with my open toed shoes. *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. And after checking out the Nordstrom link to the Jeffrey Campbell booties, I saw that they come in these other amazing patterns, so…

Feel the Love & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #67
I am without outfit photos and without a photographer this week so I had to resort to the old tripod and remote method which never, ever results in the same quality photos for some reason. Plus I can never get quite as comfortable as I do when I have someone on the other side of the camera making me smile and laugh. My, how things have changed from the beginning of my blog when I was only comfortable taking selfies. But I am choosing to ignore the poor quality of my photos and focus on the fact that I am channeling and feeling the love these days. All the love.…

Keeping Perspective & Link Up On the Edge #89
I want to start out by thanking all of you so much for the wonderful comments that you shared on my post about the hacking issue. As I stated in that post, I was overwhelmed by how many people stepped forward to my aid when the problem with my website surfaced. I very much wanted to share the story with you all because there is always good to be found in issues like these. And the good that I found clearly was the willingness of so many people to help out another just for the sake of being kind. And that now leads me to the topic of keeping perspective.…
