Outfits of the Day #ootd
I love to put together outfits. I find something calming and exciting in the process. And if I think I look good, I tend to feel great! Hopefully, you can find some inspiration here for feeling amazing in your own body.

Steampunk or Cosplay Style & Your Own Twist Link Up #24
Monica and I are back again putting our own twist on a super challenging theme…Steampunk or cosplay. Your Own Twist is a link up collaboration between me and Monica of Jersey Girl, Texan Heart. We decided to host a fun link up once a month (since we are both super crazy busy so why not add more projects to our calendars)! On the third Thursday of every month, we will host the Your Own Twist Link Up with the goal of inspiring some of our fashionista friends out there. The idea behind this collaboration is to take one common piece or theme and style it our own way with our own twist…Monica and I…

I Run On Coffee, Chaos, and Cuss Words with Bellelily
It’s a mom’s life, for sure, these days. Running on coffee, chaos, and cuss words. With school starting last week in such a different way, there is definitely more chaos than ever before. With more chaos comes the need for more coffee and more cuss words. Seriously, I have the mouth of a sailor and my kids have picked up on way too much of it. But then again, it’s all just words anyway. If I have enough coffee, I don’t get as irritable about the little things…like when my kids use cuss words. Hey, at least they use them correctly and within context. So we have that going for…

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Blazers & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #188
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book! This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye. This month’s theme is Blazers. So let’s get right…

Fallin’ for Tie Dye | September Stylish Monday Link Up
Sometime during the summer, I am unsure when since I have been living in a time warp for the past 6 months, I was invited by my blogging friends to join their monthly style series, Stylish Monday. I was more than honored to be asked to join this group of super stylish women from all around the world. And how could I resist a fun tie dye theme to bid adieu to the weirdest summer ever. You may already be familiar with this Stylish Monday series, but since it is new on my blog, let me tell you a bit about the group. Stylish Monday is a monthly series published…

Have a Willie Nice Day with Bellelily
I have had a streak of really bad days recently. You know, all that bipolar nonsense that has been exacerbated by this pandemic? It keeps creeping up on me and sending me for a loop. When the highs are high, I feel great. But when the lows go low, I have to find a way out. And sometimes all it takes is a friendly reminder and a cute outfit to bring me back to life. What better way to remind yourself to have a great day than a punny little graphic tee featuring the likeness of one of my favorite iconic musicians, Mr. Willie Nelson. I mean, the man exudes…

Inspired by Aquamarina Style: Cute Summer Top for Casual Days
Summer feels like it is coming to a screeching halt as our nighttime temperatures are now dipping into the 40’s. It is that time of year when we start to see the temperatures swinging 30 degrees in either direction throughout the course of a day. Is it hot? Is it cold? What should I wear to be comfortable? There is sort of a sartorial art form involved in getting transitional outfits right. In the season of strategic layering, it is important to ensure that your outfit is complete and coordinated even as you add or shed layers throughout the day. Lightweight cardigans and sleeveless tops seem to make the most…

New Band Tees & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #187
When the whole world has gone wild, independent artists have found innovative ways to raise funds to support their art and careers. When we all went into lockdown in early spring, we saw so many musicians streaming free live shows from their homes in an effort to bring love and light and hope into our homes. These concerts were instrumental for my survival when the long weeks led only to unfulfilling weekends that looked much the same as the weekdays. Except, of course, when I was able to stream my favorite bands straight into my living room on any given Friday or Saturday night. These weekend shows certainly uplifted me…

End of Summer Style & Link Up On the Edge #209
It seems as if summer has flown by nearly unwitnessed. I guess that is what happens when I rarely leave my house. But for some strange reason, even in the midst of summer flying by, this past week felt like an eternity. To be honest, I am beat. So I am going to keep today’s post short and hopefully sweet enough for y’all. Jeff and the boys are headed to Pennsylvania for the Labor Day weekend and I am taking full advantage of 3 days alone in my house. No kids, no other adults, just me and my solitude. Peace and quiet and lots of weed. You know I am…

Inspired by Cheryl Shops: The Ultimate Classic Outfit
The ultimate classic outfit. We all need those easy outfit formulas that always work for those days when our creativity may be taking a rest. While I love playing dress up every day and enjoy a fun pairing of unlikely pieces to create some wild outfits, I have just as many days when I don’t feel like thinking about what I am going to wear. Those are the days when I rely on no-fail outfit combinations. Because even when my creativity may be sleeping, I still want to feel great in what I am wearing. One of my favorite no-fail combinations is distressed jeans, a tee shirt, a blazer, and…

The Fab 40’s Traveled the World
“Everything I do, writing, touring, traveling, it all comes from the punk and hardcore attitude, from that expression – from being open to try things but relying on yourself, taking what you have into the battle and making of it what you will, hoping you can figure it out as you go. Make some sense of it.” Henry Rollins The Fab 40’s are returning after skipping our July post. We had some reorganization to do and the summer months spent in quarantine sort of left us all a bit overwhelmed. A break was necessary so we took it. The biggest change (or addition) to our group is that we have…
