I love to put together outfits. I find something calming and exciting in the process. And if I think I look good, I tend to feel great! Hopefully, you can find some inspiration here for feeling amazing in your own body.

A Necklace Made of Dreams & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #33
A few weeks back, I joined a little Shopping Extravaganza hosted by EyeCrave Optics and I met the loveliest young woman at this event. Her name is Tricia and she is a representave who sells Premier Designs Jewelry. *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. First, let me tell you all about Tricia…this girl is nothing short of fabulous! Her personality bubbles over with enthusiasm and excitement…about life in general. She just might be the happiest girl on earth. You can see it in her beautiful eyes and in her lovely smile. She exudes kindness and joy at every turn. Hers is the kind…

My Favorite Time of Year: Back to School with Zaful
I have always loved the beginning of the school year. For as long as I can remember, the whole process of getting ready for the new year to start was just so exciting to me. Shopping for a new wardrobe and school supplies was my favorite part of the summer! Clearly, I have always loved clothes, but I also have forever had a fascination with pens, paper, notebooks, and other similar items. But I also looked forward to the beginning of every new school year with the expectation that a new year meant a new beginning. A chance to try things a little differently than the year before. An opportunity…

Inspired by Cindy Sherman with Rosegal & Link Up On the Edge #56
I have been enamored with the artwork of Cindy Sherman for more than half of my life. I was first introduced to her work by a college professor in one of my Philosophy classes back in the late 90’s. I was embarking on a quest to complete my first very large research paper, the requirement being a minimum of 30 written pages. Egads. That was a daunting assignment for a teenager. Even more daunting, I decided that I was going to tackle the concept of voyeurism. *This is sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. I had no idea where to begin. I just knew…

Polka Dots, Smoothie Bowls & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #32
What screams middle-aged granola-eating summertime hippie more than a polka dot maxi dress, a straw hat (featured in my post yesterday), rubber slides, and a smoothie bowl? *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I am just spreading kindness while supporting local small businesses. I don’t even know if that makes any sense. But as Rena would say…Fine. Whatever. I am wearing a polka dot maxi dress, my same old straw hat that I have worn nearly every day since it arrived, some comfy black slides, and I am talking about the new juice bar in town. Watertown’s newest food establishment, Atman Juice Bar…

The Message Beneath Your Hat: The Transformative Powers of Headwear with Rosegal
There is power in a hat. It creates a sense of mystery. A sense of style. It gives the vibe of confidence. And strength. It makes people notice. And wonder. And even question. Who is that under that hat? Are they hiding from something? From someone? Or are they just hiding something? *This is a sponsored post. I was given this hat in exchange for a blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. “I have a hat. It is graceful and feminine and gives me a certain dignity, as if I were attending a state funeral or something. Someday I may get up enough courage to…

How to Style a Mini Dress with Rosegal & Link Up On the Edge #55
Do you remember my post from May, Mini Dress or Dress for Mini People? If not, you should read it. I use the word vagina. Four times to be exact. In reference to a dress that does not cover mine. And here I have another one for you! *This is a sponsored post. I received this dress in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Except this time, I knew this dress would not fit me like a dress. I knew it would not be quite long enough. But I really liked the floral print and the color palette and the high-low hem and the lacy…

My Photo Reveal with Sarissa Marissa Photography & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #31
This story begins with my post on May 18, 2017, Shelbee Got Her Groove Back. You may remember that post. It was a good one. If you aren’t familiar with it, you should probably read it. Anyway, at the end of that post, I shared a link to another post written by a fabulously inspiring woman named Celia. Celia actually writes two separate blogs, Resilientista Musings and The High Heeled Life. She had written a wonderful post How a Professional Photo Shoot Changed My Life and Why You Should Book One, Too. At the time I shared her inspiring post, I did not know that Celia also had recently launched…

The Zyrtec Itchies & A Zaful Dress
I have a little story to share. And a cute little dress from Zaful. Hopefully, it is helpful to some. The story. Not the dress. Although I do hope you like the dress, too. It was gifted to me by Zaful to share with you all. *This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Back to my story. The information I am about to share would have been quite helpful to me had I known. But I found out the hard way. It seems that the popular over the counter allergy medication, Zyrtec, is quite physically addicting and you can experience some horrendous withdrawal symptoms when…

20 Things You Probably Didn’t Know & Link Up On the Edge #54
Once again, I have been procrastinating on my blog post because I have been at a loss for topics to discuss. Which is quite a strange phenomenon for a woman who could literally talk the face off of a marble statue. Fortunately for me, however, I have lots and lots of super creative blogger friends who inspire me daily. And thanks to Linda of A Labour of Life and her post today You Probably Don’t Know Part II (you can find the link to Part I in her post), I have been inspired to share some little known things about myself. If you know me really well, then some of…

My New Goth Style in the 21st Century with DressLily
Way back when…meaning 25 years or more back…when I was in high school (Yikes…my 25th high school reunion is in the planning process), I was a little bit Goth. I dyed my hair the blackest black even back then. And I would use to baby powder on my face to get it as pale as I could. The darker the lipstick and the heavier the eyeliner, the better. Combat boots were my favorite footwear. And black was my favorite color. Unfortunately, I also hid from cameras so there is not a photograph to be found of my 90’s Goth style. *This is a sponsored post. I received this dress in…
