The Truth About Mental Illness & Link Up On the Edge #32
Many of you may already know that I have a history of Bipolar Disorder. And if you didn’t know, now you do. Recently, someone asked me how I have dealt with this disorder and if I could offer some input for a loved one of theirs who is suffering from depressive episodes. I unfortunately did not have adequate time to elaborate on how I overcame my mental illness. So I am dedicating this post to that person (who will remain anonymous due to privacy issues) and giving the topic the time it deserves and needs. If you have never suffered from mental illness or have never loved a person with…

Stripes and Floral with a Zaful Necklace & Link Up On The Edge #31
Today’s post is going to be mostly pictures and fewer words as I have a million things (well, maybe 12 things) to get done today in preparation for heading to NYC this weekend! I am meeting up with a dear old friend for coffee and breakfast. Then I am meeting up with a dear new friend for a little blogger chit chat! And I am super excited! *This necklace was provided to me for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. If there is anybody in the NYC area this Saturday, I will be free around noon if you want to catch up! Just let me know. (Would someone please…

COTD & Link Up On the Edge #30
What is COTD, you may be wondering… Well, it stands for Colors of the Day and it is a super fun daily challenge hosted by a fabulously stylish couple in Oregon, Mercedes and Andy. Every Monday through Friday, they choose 2 colors/patterns/themes and challenge us to post photos of outfits, art work, nature, just about anything really, that combines the two colors, patterns, or themes. Not only are the challenges fun, but they get you thinking and being creative with your closet. And…the members of the group who participate are probably the most sincere, most genuine, most creative, most colorful, most supportive, and kindest group of people you will likely…

So when I saw this Paisley Printed Fleece Coat from Zaful, I knew it needed to be mine! *Coat and necklace were gifted to me from Zaful in exchange for a review. All opinions stated in this post are my own and are in no way influenced by the company. When it arrived, I was even more pleased with the coat then I was from the pictures. The colors are super vibrant and the print is so adorable and fun. The fabric is a light twill…

LulaRoe Leggings and Link Up On the Edge #26
I completely missed last week’s Link Up On the Edge post. For that I apologize. I am slowly getting back on track and back into the swing of things. I have been busily photographing every single piece of merchandise available for sale in Shelbee’s Shoppe and will be reformatting my entire website next week to accommodate an online store. With the cold and snow upon us here in the North Country and my husband getting ready to leave for 2 months, I don’t plan on having very many vendor events or in-home parties again until Spring. So I need to get my online shop up and running! And on the…

Happy Thanksgiving & Link Up On the Edge #24
I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Today and everyday, I am thankful for so many things. For those of you do not already know, I had minor surgery on Tuesday. Just a uterine ablation and tubal ligation. Today, I am feeling just a bit sore and hope to get lots of rest over the weekend so I am ready to jump on an airplane next Thursday and jet off to Californina to see the sketch of myself (and 51 other gorgeous bloggers) in Anne M. Bray’s Fashion Rainbow at TAG Gallery. Thank you, Anne, for the fabulous artwork and for giving me a little push to…
