It seems that Jeff and I have completely run out of inspiration and motivation when it comes to The Sunday Afternoon Quarterback. And with Penn State performing rather poorly this season, Jeff certainly was not feeling compelled to share the heartbreak.

Two weeks ago, Indiana beat Penn State 36-35 in a heartbreaking one point win for us Nittany Lion fans. Last week, Ohio State outscored our team with a disheartening 38-25 win. And last night, Maryland destroyed Penn State with a 35-19 win. Ugh.

But this season is not quite like any other that we have seen probably ever in the history of college football. So you know, we should probably cut these student-athletes a little bit of slack. And even during a less than winning season, we must continue to support our favorite teams.

Without getting into any more football details (mostly because I just don’t feel like it), I cozied up in my favorite oversized Penn State hoodie, grabbed my casual and comfy Tomahawk Shades, and headed out to the high school football field for some photos.

A few weeks ago, I shared a post Styling My New Tomahawk Shades which featured the Landfills (aviator style frame) and the Beholders (minimalist black metal frame). But now I want to share a more casual style, the Neuralyzers, which have a black molded plastic frame. The Neuralyzers are equipped with an internal spring hinge mechanism for ultimate comfort and stability. They are super lightweight with adequate eye coverage to offer full sun protection. The smoky gray impact resistant lenses offer UV400 protection.

Other Tomahawk Shades styles that are similar to the Neuralyzers include the Arch Duke (glossy tortoise frame with smoky lenses), JamJars (matte black frame with light blue lenses), the Ferguson’s (glossy tortoise frame with green lenses), and the Armstrongs (black matte frame with silver lenses).

Tomahawk Shades also offers a line of of sleek and classic men’s watches that will partner perfectly with any and all lifestyles. Each watch has a 20 mm genuine leather band with a 41 mm dial and domed glass face. These watches are 3ATM waterproof and each comes with its own Tomahawk case. If those special men in your life need some help keeping track of the time, a Tomahawk watch would be a great addition to his wardrobe.

If you are in the market for new sunglasses and your football team is losing, Tomahawk Shades are also a stylish way to hide your crying eyes at every fumble or game losing error. I will share some more of my favorite Tomahawk Shades styles in a Holiday Gift Idea post soon. They have some really fabulous frames for both men and women.

Looking so very nice. Love your look. The blanket is cool.

Sorry for Penn St.’s rough start, this is a crazy season. Cal was supposed to start their six game season yesterday but the game was called off because one player on Cal tested positive and team had to follow the city of Berkeley health regulations (which are stricter than the state’s and the county they are in) and their regulations state that those in close contact with someone with the coronavirus must quarantine for 14 days. So the entire position group (the player or position has not be named) has been quarantined and next week’s game is questionable. The city of Berkeley has some serious contact tracing rules.

We have a little bit of a nice story going as San Jose St. (usually bringing up the rear in the Mountain West) is 3-0 for the first time in 38 years.

This season, we must remember it is not about if your team wins or loses but if your team can play the next week.

Thanks so much, Patrick! Yeah, it is a strange season for everyone, I’m sure. I can’t imagine what these student athletes have to go through just to be able to play. Only to have games canceled all over the place anyway. That is awesome and inspiring news for San Jose State! The contact tracing stuff kind of freaks me out for some reason. Well, may all the players stay safe and healthy and make the best of completely weird season! Have a great week!

Love this cozy hoodie! I haven’t been following college football too much but I do follow my son’s college Indiana University. I have to say this but they beat Penn State in the first game of the season. And then they beat Michigan this weekend. They usually suck at football so we are all pretty shocked right now. Lol!

Kathrine, thanks so much! I haven’t been watching much football myself, but Jeff follows it so I get all the highlights from him. I did see that Indiana upset Michigan and it was a pretty big deal. I am always a fan of the under dogs in any competition so YAY for Indiana!

      xoxo
