The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Paisley & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #201

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, Paisley, Shelbee on the Edge

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!

This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

This month’s theme is Paisley. I know, I know. I have been on a crazy paisley kick ever since I found this adorable corduroy paisley dress on a recent adventure in thrifting. And I am so excited to share with you lots of gorgeous paisley inspired outfits from all of these fabulous women who have joined us this month!

Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style

“I didn’t have a thing with Paisley except for the scarf I am wearing on my blog. But then I saw this dress! What a coincidence! As if it had my name on it, lol. But the colors are gorgeous and I love the huge cuffs. I am very happy that Shelbee choose this theme!”

Nancy

Jess of Elegantly Dressed and Stylish

“This paisley dress is from Karina and the orange/rust duster complements with the Fall paisley print and color.”

Jess

Anna of Looking Fabulous @ Fifty

“This Paisley dress is easy to wear and could be dressed up or down for many occasions which is shown on the images I attached.”

Jacqui of Mummabstylish

“I adore wearing paisley and have this blouse from H & M that gets lots of wear. This look is with tan peg trousers and my gorgeous camel coat.”

Laura of I Do deClaire

“This paisley blouse is beautiful, but ended up being a bit impractical for my current life with the extra ruffles and fabric at the cuffs so it ended up in the donate pile recently.”

Laura

Charlotte of Jodie’s Touch of Style

“I did find this one OLD photo of my mom in paisley. I’m sure she would tell you it was a good buy because she had it for at least 20 years.”

Jodie

Gail of Is This Mutton?

“Here’s my paisley blouse which came from Zara. It’s the only paisley item I have, although I’d like to get more looking at all the lovely things you have!”

Gail

Lucy of Confessions of a Montreal Styling Diva

“Here’s to some fun print mixing blouse and vest styled up with some leatherette leggings in aubergine- I love! Dressing up at home- my way!”

“You’ve seen this before. LOL! But yes, it was a very good buy. I love the pattern and I love the colors.”

And me

“I stocked this gorgeous paisley poncho in my traveling boutique many years ago. It sold out quickly and Shelbee’s Shoppe subsequently shut down, but I am really happy that I kept one of these ponchos for myself!”

Shelbee

“I am sure you remember this thrifted paisley skirt from last week’s post, One Thrifted Skirt Styled Five Different Ways & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #200. I rediscovered it my closet and fell in love all over again.”

And now hop on over to Nancy’s post to see some more pretty paisley styles.

The theme for January will be Monochrome. Remember to include a brief description letting us know if you are featuring a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

Please submit your photos and descriptions by the 10th of January to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to nancy@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can put you in the spotlight!

*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.

I want to thank all of you wonderful blogging friends for joining us this month and every month! You never disappoint with your style inspiration! I also want to add that if ever you submit a photo and we don’t share it, it is simply a case of oversight. Nancy and I send all the photos back and forth to each other as we decide which blog to feature them on and sometimes they can slip through the cracks. If that ever does happen to you, please just send us an email or a comment and we will edit our posts to include them.

Have you had quite enough of my paisley obsession? Stay tuned for my next obsession…whatever it may be! And now let’s get to this link party.

Michelle of My Bijou Life shared her post, Someone Should Smack Me-LOL. I certainly am not the one to smack Michelle though because I am guilty of similar infractions myself. You’ll have to go read to find out what they are. Needing a good smack or not, however, Michelle is looking lovely as ever in her beautiful combination of purple and black.

Tatiana of My Fabulous Fifties shared her post, Oversized Jacket. But it is not just any oversized jacket, it is an amazing plaid jacket in a gorgeous color palette styled to perfection by Tatiana. I am in a sartorial swoon, for sure!

Cindy of Cindy’s On-Line Recipe Box shared her post, Santa Claus Bread. Have you ever seen anything so adorable in your life? I wouldn’t want to eat it because it is just too cute. But I am sure it is delicious because I have tried a few of Cindy’s recipes and they have never disappointed me!
