The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Long Cardigans

Welcome to October’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book featuring Long Cardigans. As we zoom through fall straight into the cold of winter, long cardigans are a great way to add cozy layers for extra warmth. Thank you to everyone who dressed up in their long cardigans and joined us for this round. We appreciate you!

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“This is a cardigan I have had for a long time. I can’t even remeber where it’s from. It’s definitely a Good Buy as it looks good on so many outfits. But it’s especially a good one for over a lounge set on a lazy Friday night at home! However, this cardigan is not a very warm one. Still looking for a long warm cable knit one!”

“I’m sending a photo of my mom for the long cardigan prompt. This lacey piece has been a great buy because it can work through all of our seasons.”

“This outfit features a dark red open cardigan that has been in my wardrobe for a long time. It has been in and out of the consignment box several times. I plucked it out this time for one reason-it is a perfect match with the skirt I am wearing in this photo. I wouldn’t really call it a bad buy, but it is not something I love. I will have to challenge myself to find new ways to wear it or part with it once and for all!”

“I’ve got a Good Buy and a Good Bye. The Good Bye is this lilac cardigan. It turned out to be too thick and warm to wear indoors or under a coat, so it languished in my closet until I decided it should find a new home. The Good Buy is on Nancy’s blog.” -Gail

“Most of my cardigans tend to be longer cardigans landing anywhere from just above the knee to mid-calf. I love wearing them this time of year with some ankle pants and a tank top since our afternoons can sometimes still be a bit warm. Today I paired one of my all time favorite long cardigans with a white and blue tank and my cuffed ankle jeans. I honestly can’t remember when or where I bought this white cardigan but it goes with everything and I wear it all year round. It has been such a good buy!”
