The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Band Tees
I am so excited for this month’s theme of Band Tees and sharing the very cool looks that were submitted featuring a variety of musical inspiration as well as a super creative take on the theme by Daenel!
Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit, a Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.
The theme for October is Band Tees where you all were invited to share your favorite (or least favorite) tops that represent your musical inclinations and inspirations. However, we have no strict rules here really, we just want you to play along, so all themes are open to your own personal interpretation! And I do love when someone shares a fun spin on any theme. So let’s get straight to it and have a look at all the band-inspired tee shirts and tops.
*If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo on either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions can get lost in the shuffle.
Let’s see who joined us this time!
Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style
Sheila of Ephemera
Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style
I love that Jodie borrowed a tee for this challenge and that it is an MTV shirt instead of a specific band tee. Fun!
Daenel of Living Outside the Stacks
Danael was so creative with this challenge, taking a homophonic path and representing her love of books, that I literally cannot stop smiling! What a magnificent Banned Tee!
And Me!
Up Next: Workout Wear
For November’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, we are featuring Workout Wear. We invite you to share with us your favorite (or least favorite) workout wear or athleisure pieces. You are welcome to send two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs. Remember to include a brief description about your submissions. Please submit your photos and descriptions by the 10th of November to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com so we can put you in the spotlight.
*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.

Another great post! I love Daenel’s take on it. The Umphrey McGee’s hoodies are absolutely awesome! I’m sorry I didn’t get my shit together to send in a photo. I had intended to, but you know, life and all that. Everyone did an awesome job.

Thanks, Michelle! The black UM hoodie is so stinking soft and comfortable that I intend to get myself a new one every February when I visit Nashville (as long as their tour schedule continues to coincide with my travel plans)! And yes, I do know how life gets so crazy. Remember that I never mind adding photos in late so if you still want to send something, I can edit the pos. Have a wonderful weekend!

Very cool, love the “banned” tee! I have just one , Def Leppard when I went to the concert here in Charlotte. I used to have a ZZ top band tee, when I was 19.. who knows what happened to it! I remember getting concert tees in the 80s and they were cheap then! Love that you passed down the tee to your hubby too!
Im running a bit late in my blog rounds, just tons of health appts this week!

Thanks, Jess! Oh my goodness, band tees are so expensive now. But it’s necessary for bands to make some income! I don’t mind paying it though to support my favorite musicians. I hope that you are seeing positive results from all of your appointments. Sending healing vibes to you!
