Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #146
I am super excited to share this post! I have long been a fan of and advocate for the benefits of essential oils for healthier living. Lavender and eucalyptus oils have saved me from the pain and anguish of migraines and chest congestion on countless occasions. Aromatherapy has proven an effective home remedy for the daily stressors and ailments that come along with living in a world that is fast paced and demanding. I would much rather use natural remedies at home before running off to the doctor for some lab created pharmaceutical that causes more side effects than curative effects anyway. And as far as preventative medicine goes, why not implement all natural concoctions into your daily living to head off the symptoms that life itself can cause?
Enter Simply Earth Essential Oils. Simply Earth is leading the way in creating new standards of quality in the manufacturing of essential oils. They are committed to creating a quality product that has your safety and the safety of your home at the forefront of their processing. All of the plants used for Simply Earth Essential Oils are ethically grown in regions where plant growth will thrive. Working closely with their farmers, mature plants are harvested under safe and fair labor practices. All of the natural oils are either cold pressed or steam distilled and tested for 100% purity in the final product.
Because every plant may offer slight differentiations, each batch of oil will be unique with their qualities protected by storage in amber glass bottles. Simply Earth is so confident in the quality and effectiveness of their oils, that they offer a 365 day guarantee that their customers will be satisfied with these essential oils.
I just received the November Essential Oil Recipe Box which contains $150 worth of products (for $39) including the Big Bonus Box which is included with your first subscription box. My box included 6 Aromatherapist-Certified recipe cards, 7 different essential oils, 6 roller bottles, 6 diffuser bottles, and various other natural ingredients needed to complete the recipes.
The recipes in the November box included a few bath and shower brews which I haven’t had the chance to try yet. Because let’s face it, sometimes life is just way too busy for a bath. Although, it is super important to indulge in these luxuries every now and then. So this is definitely on my agenda for the upcoming weekend. Post-Halloween with two excited young boys will call for it! If you would like more details on creating these recipes, Jill of Doused in Pink has shared a detailed post about just this topic! Do hop over and check it out…Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box {November 2019}. Also Julie of This Main Life has shared some of the recipes in Simply Earth: Essential Oil Subscription Box Review.
I have never tried lime essential oil before and I have to say that I am quite pleased with the relaxing, refreshing, uplifting, and energizing properties provided by it! I have been needing more essential oils in my life and I am so very pleased with my Simply Earth box.
Much of my problem with adding the benefits of essential oils into my life has been finding the time to research which oils work for specific needs. And then finding the recipes that will promote the best use of each oil. The Simply Earth Recipe Box does all that work for me. I just have to check the mailbox! And it is all right at my fingertips.
I highly recommend adding essential oils into your daily lifestyle. If the ease of a monthly subscription box appeals to you, click here and use code SHELFREE at checkout to receive a $40 gift card that can be used toward future purchases or your next monthly subscription box. With the holidays just around the corner, this is also an amazing gift idea for someone on your list. By securing a Simply Earth membership, you will receive exclusive members-only discounts, free access to upcoming courses on making your own natural products with your essential oils, and a connection to an exclusive Facebook community of people who appreciate the benefits of essential oils for improving one’s life and safeguarding one’s home. With every purchase of a subscription box, Simply Earth also donates 13% of the profits to fight human trafficking.
Do you use essential oils in your home? What are your favorites recipes and oils? How have they benefited your health and mood? Do you someone who could benefit from adding essential oils to their home? Cheers to healthy living!
And now the featured favorites from last week.

You may not have had time to put together your bath and shower recipes but you nailed the recipe for the perfect fall outfit! You wear hats so well and I love your colored tights – such a great reminder that even if it’s chilly you can still wear a dress! I’m jealous of your weather – it is too hot here!
Hope you find some time to relax in a bath yourself – you deserve it!

shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Kellyann! I have been complaining that I am too darn cold lately, too! I am telling you, these premenopausal hormones are just wretched! I need to move South for the Winter! Ha. It won’t be long until it is too cold here even for dresses with tights. Although today is supposed to be a very mild 62 degrees which is great for this time of year in the North Country. We usually have snow by Halloween and we haven’t yet! Although we have snow in our forecast for Sunday…that will be the perfect day for a relaxing bath!

I’m not big on boxes, but this one looks useful.
I have a bottle of Lavender Oil at work, to smell when the coworkers eat stinky lunches at their desks – I dab a teeny bit on my nose.
I have one in my car to counteract the musty results of a water leak, I think it might be Eucalyptus (will confirm later). It’s the one good for disinfecting.
I use some as additives for tea — Lemon at work (so I don’t have to remember to pack lemon wedges) and Bergamot at home (two drops create Super Earl Grey).
The most recent (and beneficial) health usage was packing a damaged tooth with a cotton ball soaked in Clove Oil. Numbed it nicely!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Ooh, Anne, you have lots of great uses for your essential oils! I am not big on monthly subscriptions either, but this one I can totally get behind as well because I will actually use the things. You also don’t have to get a membership, you can purchase individual products from them as well. I have not used oils as additives yet, but now I am going to give it a try! Thanks for all this great information, my friend. I hope your week is off to a great start.

Ellibelle
I am a fan of essential oils! I bought a book in my teens on essential oils and how to use them, over 25 years ago from a German pharmacy/drugstore. I still have it sitting on my shelf here in the States now. Back then in Germany we used what I’d call a “tealamp” to diffuse the scent in the air. It’s like an electrical diffuser I think, just this was heated by a small tealight.
There are so many uses for essential oils! And I love that they include cards on how to use them! While I haven’t used this specific product from this company, it does sound like a fantastic deal!
Also loving your outfit, so perfect for a fall day!
Ellibelle’s Corner
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Ellibelle! How cool that you still have that book from so long ago. I first used lavender oil for headaches over 20 years ago so I have been a fan for much of my life. You don’t have to buy a membership from Simply Earth to buy their products either. You can purchase just individual oils. I hope your week is off to a great start!

Tea
LOVE that red dress on you! (I’m such a sucker for red). I love essential oils – but I find a lot of them give me a headache… someone told me it was because they weren’t good quality oils, but it turns out I’m just allergic to a bunch of things – bummer! Some I do use though (That I’m not allergic too) and I find there’s a few that help amazingly with some chronic pain I have. They can definitely be a great compliment to medicine!
xo,
Tea
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Tea, thanks so much! I am also a sucker for red and have acquired a small collection of little red dresses. My sister is the same as you with oils. Many of the floral ones, even good quality ones, send her straight into migraine-ville. But the ones that she can tolerate, she uses often for chronic pain as well. I agree, they are wonderful compliments to modern medicine. And hey, if I can avoid the pharmaceuticals, even better!

Thank you, Mireille! I pretty much live in blanket scarves from September until May. I often go to sleep with one on because they keep me so cozy and warm. Although today was a very mild 71 degrees so I got to photograph a lighter weight outfit which was nice. And I need to get these oils diffusing in my house! Have a fabulous day!

shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Aw, Debbie, you totally just made me blush! You are one of my favorite humans, too! I have a funny story about the day we shot these photos that I think only you would appreciate…simply because it’s a bit odd as am I! I woke up that morning in the middle of a very strange and vivid dream that a friend of mine was a shapeshifter and she had turned into a beautiful and very regal German shepherd in these unique shades of gray and brown. As we were down by the river shooting these photos later that morning, a young couple was walking their dog and it was the exact dog from my dream! The funny part is that I felt compelled to tell them that I dreamed that my friend turned into their dog and they simply stood there looking at me like I was insane! And my husband was just shaking his head at me and then asked me why I would tell strangers that. I was like, “Well, duh, their dog was in my dream. Of course, I had to tell them.” I should probably learn to be silent sometimes, but I simply cannot stop myself! I hope your week is going well, my friend.
