It is time for the next round of Good Buys and Good-Byes and the focus is on my favorite style of footwear, Western Boots! The fashion industry calls them cowboy boots but I much prefer the term cowgirl boots since I’m the girl wearing them. A Guide to Cowboy Boot Styles offers an easy to follow guide to the different styles of boots, the variety of toe shapes, the materials used, and the appropriate boot styles to wear for specific purposes and occasions.
If you know me even a little bit, you know that I am a little bit obsessed with cowgirl boots. Of the six types of cowboy boot styles listed in the above article, I have at least one pair that fits into each category. In a moment, I am going to share them all. But first…
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.
Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos for Western Boots will be due to us by the 10th of February.
Now we can get to my big boot roundup! Yeehaw!

I don’t have any! Despite having attended many horse shows, agricultural fairs, and the like I have never had the desire to buy a pair of cowgirl boots. Though I really enjoy seeing the colors, the tooling, and the styles.

I actually am surprised that you don’t have any, Joanne! I thought you might have a pair of the work style ones like my short black Ariat ones with the lug soles. I have loved cowgirl boots since I was a little girl and have always had at least one pair in my footwear collection for about as long as I can remember.
