Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Monochrome

It is almost time again for the next edition of The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book and we would love for you all to join us! To kick off the new year, Nancy and I have chosen Monochromatic Outfits as the theme! Monochromatic simply means wearing different shades or tones of the same color to create a cohesive and striking look. So won’t you join us this month with your favorite (or least favorite) monochromatic outfits and be featured alongside some of the most stylish bloggers on the internet.

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

It is a monthly series that Nancy and I both publish on our blogs on the 15th of each month. Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description explaining if the item was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to. We will give you the theme for the next month in each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. So please join us for January by sending some photos of your favorite (or least favorite) Monochromatic Outfits with a brief description as to why you love or hate them!

I don’t wear head to toe monochrome very often, but I am going to dig through my outfit archives to see what I can find that comes close enough…

As you can see, most of my monochromatic outfits have incorporated some contrasting accent color as well. It is much easier to create a monochromatic look in neutral colors like white, black, tan, and gray. But a brightly colored monochromatic look creates a more dramatic column of color that stands out amongst all the rest.

If you would like to participate in this month’s Good Buy/Good-Bye Book and be featured on our blogs, just email the photos of your monochromatic outfits with a brief description to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com by January 10. You are welcome to submit more than one photo if you would like features on both of our blogs.
