My Mary Kay Makeover & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #69
They say there is a first time for everything. I say great things happen outside of your comfort zone. So here it is…me going way outside of my comfort zone and doing something I have never done on my blog before…I am going to share a picture of myself without makeup. Brace yourselves for it…I am so not comfortable with this! But if I am going to share my Mary Kay makeover with you all, I guess I need to share my starting point…my face sans makeup!

So there it is…I faced my fears and I am no worse for wear. No big deal, right? Now I want to introduce you to my new friend, Janeigh Grady, a Mary Kay Independent Sales Director.
I met Janeigh at my weekly ladies’ coffee meet up on Wednesday mornings. Her personality is so infectious as she bubbles over with passion, enthusiasm, energy, and a giant zest for life. She is definitely my kind of people! She is a survivor, a fighter, a sweetheart, a kind soul, and she gives one hell of a makeover with some really fabulous makeup and skin care tips to share as well. Janeigh is extremely knowledgeable about the products and the brand that she represents and we had so much fun during makeover time!
Janeigh encouraged me to try a more minimalist make up look for this first time around and I really quite liked it! The foundation was super light and airy and she even taught me how to contour. Turns out contouring is way less intimidating than I thought it would be! And the lip colors were fantastic as well. Now to figure what I need to add to my daily makeup routine.
Then I headed outside for a quick photo shoot of my new Old Navy tie sleeve tee. And of course, it was snowing. Because it’s only April.
You probably didn’t spot the snow in those photos. Wait for it…
You see it now, right? I think it is finally over though! Or at least I am hoping so.

And seriously, Kellyann, who does send someone else to buy a swim suit for them?! I can’t even imagine. But men/boys are strange like that sometimes, I think.
And Lisa of Coast to Coast shared her post, Spring Loft Try On in Time for a Sale. Seriously, Lisa looks great in anything she puts on. Although she may disagree with me about tee shirts, but I still think that olive tee is super cute on her. You need to hop on over to her post to see what I’m talking about!

I was a MK consultant for a year. I just am not an aggressive person when it comes to selling. So it wasnt for me, but the products are quite good! I have two words of wisdom to share: bioidentical hormones! Do some research, because they are really helpful and not detrimental like synthetic hormones. I have been on them for years after some years trying to tough it out! Hang in there, you sound like one of the most positive ladies out there!

I have been reading a book by Dr. Prudence Hall about bioidentical hormones and it sounds like something that would really help me. But Army insurance is so strange…so I am currently muddling through their whole crazy process of referrals and going to the doctors they say first. I’m so glad you’re exploring bioidenticals. I know what you mean about the process. Lots of “traditional” docs don’t really get it (but some do, like my cardiologist!), and you do have to jump through the hoops. I had to ask my doctor to write a letter of medical necessity to get them paid for, so hang in there. In the meantime, keep up the great work and your wonderful, honest posts.

You are lovely without makeup but I like the way a little touch here and there helps to highlight the eyes and even out the color. I think less makeup creates a more youthful look.
