Lake Placid Travel Day & Link Up On the Edge #94

Life is really kicking my butt lately. Allergy season is upon us which seems to have gotten the best of me and my kids today. We are all coughing and sneezing and congested and ever so sleepy. So once again, I did not get my post written in a timely manner. And this bothers me some because I am a very timely person. But alas, my muse must be sleeping right now because the struggle is real trying to find the words I want to share. Maybe the allergies have got hold of her as well. Or maybe she is suffering with menopause like I am. I’m tired, my friends. Like all the time. So, so tired. Send me the crybaby soup!

In any event, I have promised to share some of my Lake Placid trip. So here it is…Day 1…Travel Day. When I travel, I need to be comfortable and cozy. An oversized sweatshirt, ripped jeans, and sneakers was suitable for the 2 1/2 hour drive to Lake Placid. And as you can see from the pictures, it was a cold and snowy weekend…and it was just 2 weeks ago.

This was actually the weather on the drive home. But the whole weekend was just building up to this.

How cute are these bear statues that we spotted along the way?

The view from the hotel dining room.
I do love the luggage carts. Even in the snow.

I am planning on getting lots of rest this weekend. It looks like we are going to have a cold and rainy Saturday. Perfect for staying inside and forcing oneself to relax. Hopefully, some clarity and inspiration will return to my very foggy brain. What do you all do to find that clarity and motivation when it seems to be slipping from your grasp?

And now your favorite posts from last week.

Stephanie of Glamorous and Geeky shared her Tips for cleaning out the closet. And I have to say, she makes it sound so easy. And yet I cannot bring myself to do it. But it really needs doing. I am so overwhelmed by the work that lies ahead of me in the closet cleaning process. Perhaps this rainy weekend will be the perfect time to get started. Thanks, Stephanie, for sharing your tips and maybe possibly giving me the motivation I need!

Linda of A Labour of Life shared her post, Navy and White Stripe Jumpsuit Old Navy. Linda styles stripes better than most, always adding the perfect contrasting pattern that kicks it up a notch. Check out her amazing floral shoes! And then head over to her blog and see some of her other styling choices with mixed prints. She truly is a pattern mixing genius!

I hope you all have the most amazing weekend filled with inspiration and motivation and all of the things that I am trying to find!  Please send some my way, if you have any extra to spare!

Keeping it on the edge,
