How to Style a Spring Dress in the Bitter Cold & Link Up On the Edge #87

This is my final post for my collaboration with EvaTrends and I have been waiting to share this dress because it has just been too darn cold to photograph a lightweight Spring dress. But it had to be done. So I put it on, layered it up, snapped some photos, and nearly froze to death.

*This is a sponsored post. This dress was provided to me for purposes of this blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

*Dress: Swan Print A-Line Dress c/o EvaTrends.

The dress is super cute and flowy and will be perfect for a warm day due to its loose fit and lightweight fabric. It came with a belt in the matching fabric which I tied around my neck instead and added a coral beaded necklace. A cozy cardigan was necessary because it was about 20 degrees outside when we photographed this outfit.

*Cardigan: Old Navy (Similar here).

I kept the look mostly monochromatic in navy blues with touches of white and coral in the print and my accessories.

A giant blanket scarf was also a definite requirement due to the biting chill in the air. I know I have completely covered up the dress that I am supposed to be showcasing, but what is a blogger to do when you choose a Spring dress in the Spring but the Spring weather refuses to show up?

*Booties: Mix No. 6 from DSW.  (Similar here, here, and here).

I tried to add layers under the dress to better show off the whimsical swan print, but that was just turning out bad. Really bad. So layers on top was how I had to go about it. It is a really comfortable dress and I am looking forward to wearing it again in warmer weather with bare arms and legs and some cute sandals.  But until the warmer weather decides to arrive, I will keep sharing lots of layered looks with you.

In a nutshell, how I style a Spring dress in the bitter cold is with lots and lots of layers! I just wish I had put my gloves on for the photoshoot because now I have chapped knuckles. What are some of your tricks for wearing your Spring pieces before the sunshine decides to arrive?
