Harvest Witch & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #723

I am feeling all sorts of witchy energy swirling about as the fall equinox is quickly approaching. Last week, I shared a whimsically witchy outfit in bright summer hues perfect for the final days of summer. However, the arrival of the equinox does not guarantee that the temperatures will begin to drop. We are still experiencing intense summer heat and humidity so I will be sticking with my summer wardrobe until the weather dictates a change.

Featuring rich shades of browns, rusts, and golds with a mixture of prints including mandalas and paisleys, this outfit reminds me more of a harvest witch than a whimsical one. Actually, it would have been perfect for our recent Thrifty Six theme of Bronzed and Browned except nothing is preloved or thrifted but my flea market earrings.

I recently purchased this dress during an end of season sale and it turned out to be so freaking comfortable that I immediately ordered two more. The print on this dress is called Batik Suns Deep Black but they look like little mandalas to me. I also have the dress in Burnt Ochre and Retro Floral Autumn Blossom. The fabric is a rayon/spandex blend but it feels like a heavy stretchy tee shirt knit. It has pockets and is super swishy, too! I have been wearing this one and the burnt ochre on repeat since I got them. I haven’t worn the retro floral yet.

When I first received the mandala print dress, I styled it with this kimono robe which was really cute with all the clashing patterns. But I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to. Then I remembered this caramel brown paisley and floral kimono robe which turned out to be the perfect partner for this dress. Now it is the only thing I wear with it.

I accessorized with the same necklace and hat from my Bronzed and Browned outfit earlier this week, my new chocolate brown Furkenstocks, and a pair of flea market earrings in rust and black to complete my harvest witch outfit for the autumn equinox.

“Autumn is the time of balance and sacrifice, a time when the light is waning. It is a time to reflect on the impermanence of life, to remember the dead, and to celebrate the harvest of the year’s crops.”

Many blessings to you all in the new season.
