Happy Horrorful Halloween & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #673
Meet Jim, the newest addition to our spooky Halloween home. He is very tall. Six and half feet actually. And we love him! But I think our neighbors might already kind of hate him. Oh well. He is here to stay until November 1.
Each year we add something new to our creepy porch decor. You can see how it has evolved through 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The soldier skeleton is loaned to us by a friend each year and this year we have also added another big spider and a cage to contain the smaller posable skeletons. The cage belonged to George, our beloved and dearly departed bunny. I figured he would appreciate this creative upcycle of his empty cage!

Nancy, you crack me up! I am not a big fan of any clowns, funny or scary, but I am becoming numb to all the spooky, weird, gross, creepy things that come with being a mom of boys! We have fun with the Halloween silliness!

Thanks, Amy! We have a lot of fun with Halloween! There are quite a few houses in the neighborhood who really go wild with Halloween decorations. I think it’s because we can’t decorate as much for Christmas because any outside decorations just get buried in snow!

Thanks so much, Jill! We have really been embracing the Halloween decorations these past 5 years. We can’t decorate as much for Christmas because we get so much stinking snow that everything has to be kept under the tiny porch roof. And even then, it isn’t always safe from getting buried in snow! So we go all out for Halloween instead.

Oh, Shelbee, you really do it up right for Halloween! I love your spooky decor, and I bet your boys, and all of the kids in the neighborhood look forward to decorating and seeing it! A lot of my neightbors, especially with children, get in the spirit and love to decorate for Halloween, but nothing rivals this! Enjoy it!

The kids invited all their friends over for a Halloween decorating party a few weeks ago and they have been obsessed with this giant spooky clown since! We have definitely frightened a few of the younger children in our neighborhood already but that makes me feel bad. I don’t want anyone to be really truly scared! It’s all just for fun!

Thanks, Angie! I need a crystal ball and a crystal skull now! The boys have a really cool shiny rainbow skull in their game room. I forgot about it until now. I should bring it downstairs for Halloween season! These boys of mine really are inspiring with the home decor. I wouldn’t do any of this if it weren’t for them! I love that you have a tee shirt from the movie your friend was in! So cool!
