Get Better Lighting with Brightech
Every once in a while, a brand will reach out to me requesting a product review for something that I would have never even considered as a thing that I would put on my blog. Many of the requests I decline. However, sometimes after thinking about it for a bit, I come to realize that the product in question is probably something I could actually use and fit into the structure and relevance of my blog content.
Recently, I received an email from a representative of Brightech stating that my blog came up in their search for wedding blogs and they were looking for bloggers to share about their lamps. My first response to them was that I have shared only a few posts related to weddings and I was probably not the blogger for the job. They didn’t seem to care much about my lack of wedding posts and were still interested in a collaboration with me. After I considered it for a bit, I realized that I could actually really use some decent lighting in my house for those occasions when I have to take photographs indoors. The weather gets really ugly where I live in the winter and my indoor options for photographs are limited and poorly lit. Remember this post from November and the resulting blurred photos taken in my dining room? Or those loungewear/pajama/underwear posts where I take the photos in my very dim bedroom? And let’s not forget about my photos on Poshmark when my poor sad mannequin is standing in the dark! So I decided to add a floor lamp to my home decor that would provide me with some decent lighting for indoor pictures. I also wanted one that was lightweight enough to move from room to room when needed. The LiteSpan LED Floor Lamp in Havana Brown seemed to suit my needs perfectly.
“This floor lamp is perfect for the indoor hobby enthusiast and will brighten up your projects with its 6,000K cool white LED so that you can perfect every detail of your unique creation. The Litespan Lamp is perfect for arts & crafts, reading, sewing, woodworking, and any other hobby that needs the perfect lighting. You can also keep this lamp in your garage for a bright light to help you see your work with the same light as natural daylight.” Or you can use it for the perfectly lit blog photographs!
This lamp comes with a 12 watt power saving LED bulb that will never need to be replaced. Assembly is super easy (I did it myself). It also has a dimmer to adjust the light to the brightness that you need and will remember your preferred level of brightness. The flexible gooseneck is perfect for shining the light on the objects that you want to illuminate. It is avaialbe in 5 different colors and the base is weighted to prevent it from tipping over.
And for some strange reason, my kids are obsessed with this new lamp, so that is just an added benefit for me as it provides them with a few minutes of entertainment nearly every day. And a few minutes less of “mommy, mom, mama, mommy, mom, mom, mommy, mom, momma, mom” throughout the course of the day is very much welcomed this summer!
For my recent blog post, The Chase for the Perfect Panties & Link Up On the Edge #105, we set up the LiteSpan in my bedroom to take the photographs. Compare the lighting from those photos (on the right) to the photos I took in my bedroom for my post, Get a Boost & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #76 (on the left) when I did not have adequate lighting in my bedroom.
I am extremely happy with this lamp to say the least. So if you are looking for some cool new lighting options for your home or to help with your crafting needs, blog photos, or you just want to create a warm and comfortable ambience in any room, you can find Brightech on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram and check out the variety of different lamps they offer.
Lighting it up on the edge,

It really looks nice. I’m a bit obsessed with having my house as illuminated as possible, but sunlight doesn’t reach every room, and still at night I need good lamps. This is great!

Thanks, Natalia! I hear you…I need lots of light throughout my house, too, or I start to feel depressed!

What a lovely light Shelbee. Something like this would be good for me when I work late and do not want to disturb anyone:) Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays 🙂 Hope you can join us today.

Thanks, Claire! You know, I didn’t think of that use for it…it would be perfect late at night on a dimmer setting to not disturb anyone else!

Where in the past a single light switch and a couple of plug points would have been enough for a single room (most likely to plug in a lamp, TV, and the odd gadget/appliance), many more are needed in this day and age.

I agree completely, Hannan! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
