Embracing My Inner Bohemian with Rosegal

I do love an easy, whimsical, bohemian outfit every now and again. It makes me feel like I am one with nature, like I’m getting in touch with the universe on a deeper, more meaningful level. It gives me a sense of freedom that is often lost in the mundane of our daily tasks. Wouldn’t it be nice to just throw caution to the wind and live a life like that…all of the time? Perhaps.

*This is a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions and entirely my own.

But I do also enjoy structure and I appreciate working hard for what I want. I understand that while a carefree bohemian lifestyle is ever so appealing, I still have responsibilities. I have two children to raise into decent human adults. I feel passionately about ensuring that they become contributing members of society. I also feel strongly about leaving a legacy of some sort behind me. I’m not entirely sure what that legacy will be. But I do know this…

I know that I have very eclectic taste in fashion from easy, hippie chic to structured office wear. I like to go from feminine frills to edgy sass in one simple outfit change. I enjoy getting in touch with my former teenage Goth girl. And I love a great vintage inspired pin up dress.

I also know that I have an open mind to most things…probably to everything except the things that may bring irrevocable harm to others. That I cannot support. Ever. But I do support everyone’s right to make their own decisions free from the self-absorbed opinions and judging eyes of others.

I also support everyone’s decision to dress in a way that makes them comfortable. I know I can get annoyed from time to time at the diminished numbers of people who get dressed, really dressed, to face the day. But underneath my occasional frustration, I get it. We need to be comfortable in our clothing. But I think we also need to feel confident in our clothing. Empowered. Strong. Beautiful.

And I know that these are only my opinions. They are not meant to influence anyone. But if they do, and if the result is a good one, then cheers to me! That makes me feel fabulous if I have made a positive impact on someone else’s day.

As I sat down to write this post, I wasn’t sure the direction I wanted to take it. So I kind of just spewed some random thoughts…I guess that’s how a bohemian minded person would do it. And then I took this silly quiz Are You Bohemian?

The result was this:
“You are 81% Bohemian! You have an original personality and are probably very creative. You’ve read the great classics, but some of this ‘great art’ stuff just passes you by.”

That’s an accurate description, I think. Actually, a lot of stuff passes me by. I can very often find myself with my head in the clouds. Very frequently, I get my brain so absorbed in “things”. “Things” that I deem quite important, that I can come off as quite the airhead. In fact, I have been called by certain people “the smartest airhead I ever met”, “the most educated airhead I have known”, and “the darkest haired blonde in the world”. That makes me chuckle. Mostly because it’s true. What is that old adage? “The truth is often told in jest.” Truth be told, I am an airhead. And a damn intelligent one at that.

See how I can digress when I get all stuck in my stream of consciousness? So what I am doing? I am supposed to be telling you all about this gorgeous chiffon floral top from Rosegal. I ordered this shirt months ago. At first, I was notified that it was on back order. Then I was informed that it was out of stock. Then suddenly, much to my surprise, I received an email that it had been shipped and was on the way to me. And I love it even more on me than I did when I first saw the stock photos. I may need to get it in another color. It comes in purplish blue, wine red, and black.  It is currently on sale for a mere $15.43.  Remember to go by the sizing guide and measurements not the actual size if ordering from Rosegal.  For reference, I am wearing a 5XL.
